But instead of just moving on and looking for a new car to buy, you stick around to constantly remind us of it's shortcomings and why other cars are better because you somehow have an endless knowledge of (or at least opinions on) every single car ever made from 1900 onwards.

Every car has issues. Yes, sometimes manufacturers will not fix these issues because of reasons that may or may not have been fully disclosed on the internet. Does a handful of cars out of thousands and thousands produced make a trend? NO.

Cool story, bro.

yup u are right that should have been my mindset. Just call the claims dept. and they sent the check today. Kinda bittersweet but oh well

No sir. my gut feeling was that they were going to fix it. When i stopped by the collision center yesterday i spoke with the mechanic and he told the car had no structural damage at all. Everything was just cosmetic damage...bolt off old parts and replace with new. Might just fix it and sell it

how much is the check they cut you if you dont mind? maybe it could cover the cost of a new body kit and wheels and suspension that might dull the pain of knowing its been in an accident. "free" mods just a thought.

Thats not bad. Sorry about the whole situation but it is best that it was totalled so you dont have to deal with a repaired car that isn't 100% right. Now you can look to pick up another Z or something else... Keep us posted!

How much are you looking to spend? Luxury sedan or Evo/Sti sedan?
