Is it possible to add the sports package?
 

Hey guys, I already bought my 370Z (7AT) a couple months ago and I really REALLY regret not getting the sports package, mostly because I really wanted the spoiler, 19 inch rays and the bigger brakes. Would it still be possible for a dealer to sell and install this stuff for me? Would it be way to expensive to even consider?

I wanted to get the nismo mt... but dealer told me i have to wait like 6 months and only color they had was in base model mt... so i ended up getting mt base model... To this day, i am so happy that i got the base package instead of any other model. why?
If u want the spoiler and wheels, u can buy em separately and would be way cheaper... spoiler and ray wheels... u can get em for less than 3k... fosho...

same thing... i wanted the nismo 370z... instead i m going to get the stune nismo parts and would be way more cost efficient...

ppl are sellin ray wheels for like less than 1k in this fourm... gl

Dealer? Maybe the spoiler. You won't want to pay 'new' prices for the Rays or brakes though.

You can find all the parts in the Parts For Sale section of this site. You'll pay about $1,000 for the Rays, another $1,000 for the brakes, and then you can buy the spoiler either used here or new from the dealer. Installation will cost you unless you can do it yourself. The brakes aren't hard once you've done it before, but you'll probably want a body shop to install the spoiler.

Then there's the LSD and SRM. You won't get the SRM without stupid money. That's out, not worth it. The Sport Package LSD isn't bad but IMO it's not worth buying. I would go with an OS Giken.

As stated above:

1K - Brakes
1K - Rays (I would personally go aftermarket for about 2.5K)
$600 - Spoiler
1.5K - OS Giken LSD

For about $4K you can have a car that's actually more capable than the OEM package. But you'll still be missing the SRM.

There are a lot of people selling there Rays in the For Sale Forum, even the OEM big brake calipers. The rear wing and front (under) lip is part of the aero pkg that you can get at the dealer or aftermarket.

However cannot get the SRM unless you get it from a wrecked Z. Like stated above LSD aftermarket.

The above prices do not consider selling your OEM parts. You can probably get

$600-$700 for your stock wheels and tires
$200-$300 for your stock brake calipers and rotors

So really for a net $1600 (not including installation) you can get all of the parts you listed.

Forgot about the LSD! He has an auto so SRM isn't a factor.

The short of it is this:
If you want to add all this now (after the purchase), I'd consider investing in better parts. I'd be looking at the OS Giken LSD, a BBK instead of the sport Akebonos, etc.

:iagree: Absolutely! Why put on the standard OEM parts - go to upgraded aftermarket parts instead! Although I do like the Rays...

The prices and places in the for sale section do not seem reasonable (since they all seem to have upwards of 6k miles already on them and they are not nearby for pickup). So the dealer route is definitely the wrong way to go eh?

hey, if i had the money... i would order all my parts from the dealer and have them install... but the key concern is the money... **** aint cheap... u truly don not want to pay there price...

Ordering from the dealer is a waste of money. You will likely pay 2-4 times as much as buying a used set. 6k miles is nothing for wheels and/or calipers. Your other option would be trying to buy from a reputable online vendor. You can probably save some money that way as well. Try Z1.
