167 in a 60 on my S1000RR. Cop let me off because I'm military and had just gotten back from Iraq and told him I needed an adrenaline fix. It was 2 am and nobody around. He was prior Army and said be safe and have fun HUA.

DEC 04' in my new Scion TC doing 120. Hit a turn, understeer, lifted throttle... serious oversteer, drive through a light pole and over a median. $3000 for the light pole, $2500 for the wreckless driving ticket, 2 years suspension. Worst of all, no car insurance... it lapsed a week prior.

SEP 07' Doing 130mph in a 04' 325i for about 40 minutes straight about an hour north or Birmingham. I slow down for a city, then see lights about 3 miles back in the distance. He was chasing me for 20 minutes. Ticket was for 107 in a 55. Called a local lawyer and he got it dismissed.

I was a dumb *** when I was younger.

One of those will do 120?

Limiter was 127, it would get there. Not quickly, but yes...

90 in a 65 on the bike up in Vermont. Thank god he got to me when i was doing only 90 cuz a minute before i was seeing way over triple digits. Got a road trip from Arkansas to BWI. Hoping to set the cruise and not get tempted. Biggest fear is getting more than one ticket in a different state. Honestly, with all these unmarked cruisers out there, im paranoid about hitting 80+

Damn how do you guys get away with such crazy tickets by getting a lawyer?? What do they say? Every time I've gotten a lawyer it never works and I end up with the ticket. But I never get legit lawyers, just mr. Ticket and stuff like that. Are you guys getting actual lawyers to go to those group court hearings or what?

RoshDawg 02-02-2013 11:03 AM

My most annoying ticket was getting a 60 in a 25, even though I was going about 30-32. I passed the cop who was going in the opposite direction, and thought NOTHING of it given how huge and open this 25mph road was. (After a bunch of u turns and not knowing where I was going) down the road about 5 minutes later, that same cop pulled me over, and said 'I had to go 60 just to catch up with you!' I was like what? I've been pulling u turns in people's driveway and making many dead end turns (this place was like a maze) I was averaging maybe 10 mph after we passed each other. Yet he gave me a ticket for going 60 just because HE went 60! I was paying a speeding ticket that belonged to that cop for going 60mph trying to find me (not catch up with me).

Signed up for a court date, and within 3 days notice they changed the court date because the cop couldn't make the original one. I immediately called and said I could not make that court date, but the court needed 2 weeks notice to change the date!! Where's my 2 weeks notice??? So I canceled my hearing to avoid 'failing to appear in court', only to get a letter saying I failed to appear in court and I must go to another court hearing! Such a broken system.

perhaps maybe you shouldnt be allowed to have a licence or a car. You would think you would have learned your lesson the first time.

Don't even get me started on ticket storytelling... lol

Back in the 1980's..

Got a ticket for " Impossible and Unsafe start."

I dropped the clutch and got the front wheels off the ground through the Intersection while frying tires all the way through the Intersection..

The Cop freaked out and I thought I would go to jail...He was so upset he blew it..

The Judge said that if it was "Impossible", how could I have done it....Case dismissed..

He should have just written it for exhibition of speed..

Same Car in the early 1990's doing 125 in a 65...Looked in the rear view and saw a CHP Bike going so fast it was leaning into the turn on the FREEWAY...

I looked at the speedo and my Heart fell out of my Body...Wrote me for 85.

Yep. Female troopers are the best. Male troopers have some kind of penis envy issue. Female cop once clocked me at 95 and accelerating in a 65. Gave me a $120 seat belt. She laughed and said "that was bad". Was in my slk kompressor at the time. Was clocked and ticketed in the same car a few months later for 85 in a 55. Male trooper. Went to night court and they reduced it to parked on pavement

I was driving my old car (Mitsubishi 3000GT) down to Florida for spring break my senior year of college. There were a couple cars and we were just convoying down from Purdue. Driving down the highway by Ashburn, Georgia I was leading and got nailed for doing 89 in a 70 through a "construction zone." I put that in quotes because there were no signs or even cones out.

Got hit with a $555 ticket, apparently Ashburn is notorious for crazy high tickets. Then a month later I got a letter from the state of Georgia telling me that my offense constituted a "super speeder" fine of an additional $200.

I didn't have time to take off of school and didn't want to pay a lawyer to go as a proxy, so I forked over the $755 and went on with life. Switched insurance companies last year a found out that the ticket isn't even on my record, at least not in Illinois, so I just pretend the high price was an "off the record" fine.

I think half these stories are BS or exaggerated. If you get caught going 60, 70, 80, or almost 100mph over the speed limit you will be pulled over at gun point, thrown face first into the cement and cuffed and then you *** is going to jail, plus you won't be driving for along time. I don't care if you have a lawyer or not.

Nailzs 02-02-2013 05:13 PM

Thirty miles per hour over the speed limit in Florida gets you a visit with the judge. No ticket.
