This past July, the ticket was for 64 in a 40 mph zone. The officer said I was going almost 70 but he only wrote the ticket for just under the MPH where he would impound my car and make me go to court. (25 mph = go to court, 30mph = impound car) - so I got off with a $200 ticket and that was that. Insurance didn't even see the ticket (they said so when I asked about Z insurance) because it was my first one ever.
Jeep Grand Cherokee... I was going the opposite direction from the cop. He said "I turned my radar on when I saw you because you were VISIBLY going fast!" -- sure enough my fuzzbuster didn't go on until he flipped his on when we rounded a hill. Thought only laser was that fast, but he had three readings on his device - 67 mph, 68, mph, 69mph |
I have had too many tickets. Dont want to list them all. But i will just say that the second ticket i got with the z is a speeding ticket. i was going 85 on 55. i got court tomorrow. wish me luck. thinking the ticket is gonna come out to 4 or 5 hundred bucks.

The worst I ever got was a speed ticket + turning on red light. Both from the same cop at the same time.
Went to court with a bar attorney (50 bucks) and received super vision for 6 months + court fee (20 Bucks). Everything added up, it cost me 70 dollars to get rid of the two tickets. Everyone else in line waiting to pay for their tickets were stumped at how I managed that. |

Never gotten a ticket and have never been pulled over, I guess it is a matter of time though but I try to pick my time and place wisely before laying my right foot down.

Ok I feel like no one's gonna beat this one...got a ticket for going 70 on a 65.
Cost was around $450 this was about 3 years ago. EDIT: it wasn't filed as a speeding ticket. They called it speed evading which is BS because I barely got on the freeway and was merging to the left. |

When I moved to Montana back in the mid '90's, there was no daytime speed limit. The rule was "reasonable and prudent" for road conditions. If the highway was dry and you were in a decent automobile, the troopers wouldn't even give you a look until you doing over 95 mph. It was nice but you sure could go through the gasoline.

My worst ticket is framed on my wall, being the most expensive piece of art I own...
Blazing down unpopulated country backroads on my Hayabusa..."oh look a cop", and I have to come to a stop at the "T". 145 in a 55. After lawyer, etc. ~ $2000 Worth every penny. He kept me out of jail, because he plays golf with the county commissioner ;) The ticket disappeared, but the message relayed to me was, "Don't get caught speeding in GA again, or you won't like it". |

I hear you. After having sport bikes (gixxer 1K, and hayabusa) (and doing a ton of track days)...everything else seems to be in slow motion. That's my problem with the Z. Doing 100+ feels so slooooow. Been getting my fix on some 100+MPH off/on ramps early AM or late PM...think it's a short matter of time before the Z sees the track. |
