We live in AZ, so it's about an 5 hour drive. Got it up to 147mph on the GPS, and all was going good until we came up over this hill and saw the DPS car on the side of the road:(. He got me on radar at 99mph,
but wrote it as civil not criminal speeding. Looks like Ill be taking the online driving school.

Update. Online driving school will run me $200.00. No points no fine. Still need to take the class. Just got a 30 day extension today to get it done.

I was driving from California back to New Mexico on I-10. Got pulled over in Bowie, Arizona for doing 130 on a 75 in my Integra. My ticket was around $750 :shakes head:.

Wow, that seems pretty cheap. My buddy said he got pulled over on the 17 coming down from Flagstaff at 128 and got a night in jail and a $1200 fine.

Was it worth it though?

117 in a 65, coming home from a late night party via I-95 at 3am. In a VW Jetta. 12 years ago.

Cop took my license, registration, came back with a ticket for major speeding (15mph+). Happily signed it and drove away.

Fu*k yes it was.
He asked me- "why did you do that sir? Should you comply with signs and regulations like everyone else and stay in the speed limit ?"
I responded- "if I wanted to do all the above I'd had bought a Prius"

And just last night I got a ticket doing 80mph on a 40mph

:rofl2:I got a ticket for going 60 in a 40, AND a no insurance ticket, because my insurance company applied the payment to the HOUSE payment which wasn't due, instead of to the car payment. Which is total BS, I even got a letter and showed it to the court and they didn't care. They said "The fact of the matter is you didn't have insurance at the time of the stop." ... I was without insurance for 2 weeks because of the insurance company's mistake and they won't do anything about it. $600 ticket, plus $300 surcharge every year for 3 years, plus my insurance is now a lot higher (Also BS!!) AND if I get pulled over, the cop always gives me **** for "not having insurance" ... so bye bye warnings if I do happen to get stopped. Such bs... All this and I did nothing wrong aside from trusting my insurance company not to be imbeciles. I hate Progressive.

And when I was young, I was driving to the next biggest city, and was clocked doing 96 in a 30....
Didn't notice that little town in between cities and just blew through it. :rofl2:
Was funny until they impounded my car and threw me in jail for a few hours

That's some crap... I've been pulled over for speeding and got hit for no insurance, too. But I just had to prove to the court that I got the car covered with the minimum insurance within 30 days of the ticket. I had no problems doing that, and it resulted in a $10 dismissal fee (I took defensive driving for the speeding portion).

I got caught doing 180 in an 80 zone! 4 points, 2500$ fine and 6 month suspension!! Lucky for me the judge messed up the amount i was over, the crown was talking kms & she was thinking % over! It was rreduced to 2 points & 400$ with no suspension due to what they actually "read out" charged me with!!

LMBmikeZ 03-12-2013 08:21 PM
