The only real differences I found from personal use and research testing online is that the V1 has the greatest range of basically any detector. The 9500ix does show superior accuracy though and learns at a great rate at areas that are not needed to signal you. I'll hold fast and say that V1 is great and very effective but for a cut of about $200, worth every penny.
