Absolutely no rattles or squeaks. Much improved over the 350Z i owned.

In the garage over the winter

Evo X has much worse paint.. furthermore much more rattles, I've owned one and moved to the 370Z...

370Z much better than the evo x (and mine was modified)

Its probably the area where you live. All cars that are driven are subject to dings/scractches/chips. The only way to prevent that is to not drive it.

When I first got my car, there was a rattle in the headliner that was driving me INSANE! Tore apart all the hatch and cargo area plastic to get to the source and taped and insulated everything that was in my path. I've developed a buzzing noise somewhere in the cabin, but it's directly related to 2500 RPM with a Fast Intentions cat-back, so I'm gonna let that one go. Other than that, she's tight as a button at 13,000 miles.

As for rock chips and the issue of paint quality, I'm not finding my paint to be all that bad. The front end of my car looks like a car that's spent the majority of its miles running up and down the highways around Baltimore and Washington, D.C..

If show quality paint is what you're after, get the car re-sprayed and start trailering it.

The only car worth owning, is the one you get to drive.

I'm kind of in the same boat, this car can be extremely frustrating sometimes. The good ultimately outweighs the bad though.

I'm a modded G35S sedan owner...buying a 370z in March. I have the same issue with soft Nissan paint. Hate it...but I combat it with frequent (bi monthly) details that keep it looking new.

I'm going to wrap my entire car (as I just had both bumpers painted) thru Sticker City here in Los Angeles. It's a GREAT way to change the color and protect the paint from chips and also door dings. They are so good at wrapping (Lambos, Bentley, Porsche, etc) that you can't even see the wrap lines...and it's guaranteed for 3 years. And you can wash and wax it till your hearts content.

My sedan will only cost 2k - and i'm going with a very cool, subtle gunmetal metallic.

Just a thought versus clear bra - and less expensive than a 5k amazing paint job. Another option is Cilajet coating - used on all commercial aircraft. About 900 for an entire car. Won't have to wax for about 10 years.

Ahhh, the 2500 rpm Fast Intentions induced buzz...just Tony's way of telling you to speed up!
