I don't know about you, but cars are one of my guilty pleasures (probably the most expensive guilty pleasure I have. I mean, could I really spend 30k on cigars? Golf clubs? Tools for my workshop?) So if you want the Cayman, get the Cayman. Car and Driver rated the 2011 as one of the top 20 cars of the year, and the best sports car under 100k. They also have the heads up their arse's, but that's for another thread.

:bowrofl: Ironically, I think we are the same. I already have 2 rear-engined cars in the garage. If this happens, this would be my first and only mid-engine car. I work on cars extensively (i.e., I perform my own major services); so I kinda of could justify it as I save major bucks on labor.

That info is cool. And I am personally cool with it --- after all, I still own a Z. :tiphat:

I have been around long enough to know that "someone will always smoke someone." Heck, I don't even try to race any Civics; for all I know, they have tricks underneath. If I wanted to smoke someone, I probably would have bought the Corvette last week at $1,000 over invoice.

hey it's your money do what you can live with. to each his own..

i couldn't do it but that's me. the interest rate is good though...
what about the upkeep on the porsche vs the 370 say over a 24 month period? sounds like you will take a good hit on the after market parts you will remove also..

Well then, light up something good (I'm partial to Nicaraguan:tup:), swing a Cleveland wedge and imagine which will look better in the driveway - the Z or the Porsche :icon14::excited::driving::eek::argue:

the porsche options are super expensive though. I went to the porsche website and built a car for fun and was amazed of how much they charge for the options.

Actually, this is somewhat contradictory as you already made your comment by stating your disapproval. :). I am cool with it.

It looks like karma here: Nissan just called and they said that they couldn't finish the oil chg service, etc and they are keeping the car til Monday.

And I was planning on pulling out my mods tonight. :)

well said!

2.9 is cool though. get TechArt upgrades....

Never drove the 2.9. If 2.9 is cool, I wonder how 3.4 would be???:stirthepot:

Endgame 12-11-2010 08:45 PM

no no.. i mean 2.9%

Mt Tam I am 12-11-2010 09:58 PM

OP: A new purchase, at a great rate makes a poor financial decision. Stick with your Z and two years pay down.

Zsteve 12-11-2010 11:04 PM

2010 vette 0% interest.

whoLEEoh 12-11-2010 11:08 PM

do it...new cayman s is faster and better handling than the z...23.5k would be a good trade in value...sell me your coils if u do :) lol

Zsteve 12-11-2010 11:12 PM

I got 26K trade-in for mine but was the Touring and they kept all the mods. At first they wanted to give me about 23K and we argued for an hour and a half just on the trade in. They really wanted to sell that last 2010 vette on their lot that had been ther for a few months. So some arguing might help, even walk out too.
