Post Aftermarket Cone Filters

I was at the Nissan Dealer yesterday to have my rear spoiler attached. I was then talking to oneof the mechanics about cone filters and if they really make a difference with increasing Hp and speed of course. He said unless you change your exhaust into a less restrictive one like Nismo exhaust for example there will be no increae in HP because there is stil restriction in the factory exhaust. It makes sense. Any thoughts on this? Also he said Nismo will be coming with a lot of aftermarkets for the 370z soon

Yup, i would say the same thing. everything works togather.. i would say an exaust , cat-drop off pipe or "test pipe" and a cone intake would make give or take 25whp

Adding the cold air (cone filter) intake would help regardless of whether or not you change the exhaust. Obviously, they all work better in conjunction with each other, but it's not necessary. You SHOULD see a very noticeable gain in torque (as well as HP, but not as much) if you install one.

You shouldn't feel like you need to buy an exhaust to get the benefits of a cold air intake because you don't. You'll love its effects instantly, too.

If you guys want to see numbers go to 370z.com see Dyno Pulls in magazine section. these are baseline numbers. i've got a A/T that is getting cats (berk) cat backs (stillen and intake (jwi) you should be able to see another pull with these goodies in a few weeks. The guys at Technosquare are remapping the computer to maximize the whp. Anyone in LA area should check these guys out.
