The car drives/rides great and I love the 7-disk and bose and power everything and black leather, it just breaks down way more than even my GM did.
"fancy" cars with lots of bells and whistles typically have more to go wrong, what's your "2001 GM" product?

Actually, it's the meat and potatoes dying with this import. The motor-mounts. CV boots. Thermostat. Radiator cracked near the fill-neck. Ignition switch, etc. This is at 117K on the odometer and the car looks very pampered. Interior is flawless, etc.

Also, who the hell puts a cap/rotor distributor on a car in 2002? WTF!? Yeah, had to replace that, and am amazed I didn't get misfire codes as bad as the rotor looked. Must have a mean ignition system to bridge that gap, lol

All the accessories work flawlessly.

With the GM, the only thing that went out was the T/O bearing at 85K miles, the clutch hydraulics (master cyl.), and the rear-end. All about the same-time. Other than that, it was little-stuff, accessories, etc.

the G20 has an SR20 engine (and 2002 was the last year iirc) which was sourced from the 90's when almost EVERY car had a dist cap/rotor setup, i'm getting really tired of you trash talking nissan on this forum because that's all you seem to be here to do all you are doing is showing your pure ignorance for all things cars while thinking you know everything

as for your other concerns, as a one-time career mechanic, i can say that the thermostat is a wear item, as are CV boots, especially on a FWD car where they are turning frequently (as opposed to the rear where they only rotate in the same direction). if you wanna complain about CV boots, go find the B5 section on vwvortex and come back and cry some more. those fools are replacing them every 50k miles and it's normal
