All depends on what you want to accomplish I guess.

The 2009's were rumored to use oil more in some cases. Other than that, it's just a general opinion/statement.
Facts are different from opinions. FACT: My brand new 2009 used one quart of oil every 500 miles. TSB recommended a new short block.

Experience is more valuable than a test drive and reading. Especially with his above statement, regarding fact vs opinion.

BULL. Lack of ownership has obviously impaired your ability to read the TSB on oil consumption. After you embarrassed yourself with Nitrouz and the "Trading in GTR for a 370z" discussion, please stick to what you know.

Some '09's used oil. The GT-R referenced is getting canned for a car with 3 pedals on the floor, RWD, and a quarter-ton less weight.

Sorry your car got TSB'ed regarding the engine. This is why I recommended the OP not buy the first-year of anything. Be it GM, Nissan or Ferrari.

OP: Buy what you want, and if it's neither of those options, wait until you find it. Otherwise you will just end up bitter over it.

I gotta say though, CBR, at least put SOMETHING in the thread the OP will care about/or reference him at least. I mean, I know you just want to stir the pot more being as you chimed in about nothing the OP asked about, but throw OP a bone, man. I mean, you are getting after me about being the cause of side-railing threads and your only post in the thread has to do with me and not the OP? WTF?

All cars will depreciate... New ones instantly.

Buy a used 09 that's loaded out.. you'll find it's a much better deal financially. And if it's worth anything to anyone... my car has 15,300 miles and hasn't used but maybe 1mm of oil since the last change 3200 miles ago. It is technically in the TSB range as well... build in Jan, 2009.

Runs like a champ!
