If you need to ask this question then you probably don't have the necessary skills/knowledge to repair this properly. The front/rear need massive work. My suggestion would be to re-think your budget 370 purchase.

Brazilbro 12-07-2010 11:28 PM

take it from me.. do not try and do a rebuild.. In 2005 i bought a 350z that just had what looked to be some minor front drivers side damage. I got it for 5k which I thought was a great deal considering it was a 2004 with 10k miles. To make a long story short it took another 13k to get it road worthy when I had only planed to spend 5k. Then after a yr of piecing it togather I sold it for a loss.. If your looking for a cheap Z find one that someone else rebuilt and lost their asss on.

Jamaica 12-07-2010 11:33 PM

ya car needs at least another 12k of body work.

Rogue Z 12-08-2010 12:05 AM

F**K i wouldn't buy that!!! looks like Sh*t

Jamaica 12-08-2010 12:07 AM

I'm guessing 15k. don't buy it save your money for a good down payment! and look at the saving a salvage post started by carvalho360. http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-g...g-salvage.html

Dreezy562 12-08-2010 12:56 AM

yeah dont bother... looks like it has a 95 inch front to back instead of the usual 100 or whatever.. lmao RUNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you think it would sell for with a salvage title? I promise it won't come close to 22K.

Also, you are assuming no frame damage, etc. was done.

RUN OP! RUN!

Besides, noone is going to finance that crap. You would have to buy it outright. Then you would have to front all the money for repairs. Basically, you are saying you have $22K to burn in-hand. Why don't you put that down on a new 2011 and have a very small note. Or even a used 2010 with even less miles. So much better options around on which to spend your hard-earned $22K.

Jeffblue 12-08-2010 07:50 AM

what body kit is that?:bowrofl:

Surely just a fool and their money would suffice?

ClemsonWill 12-08-2010 09:22 AM

The reason they are selling it like this is because they know they will lose money on the repair. Walk away!

siberian370z 12-08-2010 09:23 AM

Ok guys thank you for all your help let's see what other people think ^_^

elmz 12-08-2010 09:52 AM

Don't do it, you will end up spending over 10-15K on repairs. And even when its all done, it will probably not ride the same. Just buy a used Z with no problems it will cost you just as much as this project with a lot less hassle.

Mt Tam I am 12-08-2010 10:23 AM

At least it was not in an accident :
AccidentCheck
Reported accidents: 0.:bowrofl:

I did not repair my 300ZX tt with far less damage, for fear of the unknown damage. OP You are brave to consider repairing this mess.

All you need is a sawzall and some welding skill and you can turn it into some crazy buggy thing. :icon17:

Or a track car, even. Just fab your own body.

A candidate for the movie series remake of Mad Max.

There are people who specialize in rebuilding salvage vehicles, and they usually buy them at an insurance auction. If someone who rebuilds these thought this was a good enough deal it would have already been sold.

man you guys are nuts. this will buff right out! id buy it..... ok totally joking.

Pharmacist 12-08-2010 01:30 PM

What about buying it and then selling the parts by themselves like the engine, gearbox, differential, axles, wheels, windshield, doors, mirrors, battery, driveshaft, etc. Would the op be able to make a profit?

RedBullRR 12-08-2010 01:40 PM

To much damage my friend. Not worth it. May be better off spending 10 grand on a used 350Z.

Sibze 12-08-2010 01:41 PM

ooo demolition derby!!!!!! demolition derby!@!!!!! demolition derby!!!!!!!!!!!

He probably wouldn't break even after spending $10G's on that turd bucket and then spending all that time and effort to part it out. That is what Junk yards are for

Sibze 12-08-2010 01:51 PM

"The interior is in excellent condition and exceptionally clean."
Really? is that sh/t or blood in the drivers seat? in pic 15?

Black kNight 12-09-2010 02:51 AM

dont buy it . because you will lose alot of money just to repair it so it is better to buy a second hand Z without accidents.

carvalho360 12-09-2010 03:40 PM

I saw a bunch of zs that looked like this. Not worth it at all. If it had just rear damage. Maybe. But risky. But front an rear just makes the price in repairs skyrocket. Took me 3 months to find mine after tons of auction searching Plus mine didn't look that bad in the rear. And I paid around 22 total after all the paperwork and crap.

Cell 12-09-2010 04:28 PM

Don't bother. It looks like the shell is worthless... You are basically paying 10k for an engine which probably has problems now after the accident. Plus, 10k for the engine is a bit too steep. Mind as well buy a old 350 shell and drop a Lsx motor.
