To paint or not to paint.

So after my minor accident last week the Z is in the shop. The front bumper is getting repainted and while its there gonna get some splash guards installed and painted as well. The other thing idea i'm tossing around is painting the door handles. Let me know what you think. Here is the car as it sits now.

Vertical door handles is a unique thing to the Z and adds some contrast to the black.. I like it like it is

Paint them. Look up member ZCarMan and his albums... his car is all blacked out and it looks great.

I have some left over paint that I bought from Touch Up Paint Online - Remove Car Scratches. My side mirror got scratched and I repainted it myself. Since there's so much paint left, I was actually toying with the same idea of painting the handles. All my friends ended up telling me to leave it as is too since the contrast does look awesome :)

I think your picture says it all. Looking at the car what stands out to you? The door handles? Do you want the door handles to be the focal point when someone looks at your car from the side. If not then paint them! Just my :twocents:

I have to say I think the silver door handles on the Z are unique and make it stand out, I like them personally but they do stand out quite a bit more on a darker Z. I was thinking about the ideal of painting the surrounds body color but leaving the actual handle itself as is. It would keep that unique look while being less pronounced.

Anybody with a lighter body color paint them black (splash guards, that is)?

Do the rims cap covers while you are at too.

Does any one have any suggestions on what I can do motor wise to increase horsepower besides force induction

I voted no but changed my mind. :D What if you could paint the handles to match the color found on the 40th anni wheels or something slightly darker?

That's an option. I just now realized that I failed to mention I plan to paint both the front(fang area) and rear bumper(Between the tail pipes) flat black if that matters. I think It would go well and pull everything to together.

That's what I just did I reprinted it back to all black flat blacked those two spots but painted handles color of car
