Default 370z 2009 vs BMW m3 2005

Hi, I've bought my first Nissan about a week ago, a 370z + sport package.
I have a couple of friends that race with the 350 and got all the best comments about that car, also I have a friend that races with a bmw m3 2005 and he wanted to sell it to me. I couldn't make up my mind for about a week, then finally got the 370.

My question is, do you know for a fact that a 370 is faster and better car than a bmw M3 year 2005 ?

Thanks for taking the time the read and reply to my post.

B

The Z is better in aceleration, 1/4 mile and stopping. But handling and suspension goes for the E46 M3. In a track lap i think the M3 will have a close advantage.

completely the opposite.

1/4 mile and overall acceleration would be close with the properly driven M3 having the edge. Handling wise they should be identical and slight driver advantage will make a difference in a road race. In fact if both do lap after lap all my bets would be on the Z because of better brake endurance.

just so you know, the guy driving the 350 on the track says that the one with the m3 can't never pass him ( also the guy driving the 350 has a bit more experience racing ).

on the other hand, the 370 is quite lighter than the M3 and has more HP

i think the m3 is a little heavier, but either way the driver will be the biggest factor
