Yes, the oil change is 3750 miles or X months (forget the months).

Do it soon and make sure you use good quality synthetic oil. Lots of DIY posts!

How long ago and at what mileage was your last oil change and what oil did you use? If this is your first oil change then, yes, change it now like the owner's manual says to. But if you changed it at, say, 1,500 miles and put in a full synthetic, then you can wait.

Wow 3k miles and no oil change - you are a bold man... I changed my oil after driving home from the dealer - you just cant have that **** collecting all those metal shavings from the engine actually being used...

But yea - you should most certainly change your oil out - I stuck to ester for 12k miles - now I'm about to install my oil cooler and am thinking about making a switch.

I changed my oil at the brake down period around 1,200 miles. I have sone two oil changes within 5,000 miles.

Now the intervals will be more spaced out.

The Z computer is set for like 3,500 miles oil and filter change icon to show up.

I'd recommend doing it about every 3000 miles, especially for a performance oriented engine. But oil now days is typically good for around 5000 miles or more.

Not to hijack but what about drivers who hit the monthly cap before the mileage? i.e. I changed mine in Aug and I have not put another 3750 on her yet. Technically, I'm due for an oil change. This would be the 3rd oil change...First 2 using Nissan Esther oil at 3750 and 7,500.

Nissan's monthly caps make no logical sense. I would not go more than a year on synthetic oil and low miles, but the monthly caps? Nissan would have to technically prove how they arrived at those caps to even remotely be believable.

I guess if you were driving the piss (not tracking it) out of your 370Z in 110+ degree weather then the monthly caps might make so sense.

Yeah I feel the same way. I know some people might think that oil "breaks down" after time but I don't think that it breaks down that fast. I have a coworker who has a G37x and we were discussing this same topic.
