^^^On the nose Jose. I like the mustangs and think the new 5.0s are really nice but this is the main reason I wouldn't buy one.

That area where you guys live is definitely a Mustang hotbed. I guess it's always been different for me up here because they are much less common. If I wanted to fit in I'd buy a Porsche 911. By far NOVA's most popular car.

Yeah, we don't have the income base in this area to support as many high end rides as you do in NoVa.
I saw a blue 5.0 in the grocery store parking lot last weekend with suspension work and wheels. It was hot! That is the first one I had seen up close. Definately a lot of bang for your buck. I can tell you that eventually the roadster will go FI. Probably a GTM TT kit. No rush though. My "antique" is my fast car.

I don't care if the Mustang 5.0 had a fighter jet's engine under the hood... I'd never buy one. Mustang's just don't do anything for me. The problem with the mustang is that it attracts such a broad spectrum of people...everyone from Soccer moms to chew spitting red necks.
I rented a Mustang when I was in Hawaii and it was the most boring car I'd ever driven... it was the V8 and it was a bore fest. I'll stick with the Z

+1, we had a pretty quick Scion around here. It would be a good run for a near stock 370Z if the 370 knew what he was doing. Lots of people just want to see how their ride stacks up.

I did all the bolt ons, but low-end grunt in the Z would require some sort of FI setup and it just wasn't worth it (to me).

What you can get out of this post is he hates being blown.

No, I love getting blown, I'm just not OK with paying for it like some of you are.

Nice thread. I am looking into a slightly used Nismo right now. I have a 2010 GT500 and an SC widebody 06 Mustang. Both over 500HP cars. But to be honest, the 370 (or even 350Z) has always looked better to me in stock form than a Mustang.. Now that the 370Z
is out and I've actually seen them up close and driven one, I really like them. I would sell my widebody Mustang and start over with a 370Z |
