Found some new things to complain about
So this was the first cold morning (temps in the 20's) that I drove the Z. I noticed the following, that I had not had the opportunity to notice before:
The windows freeze. Hard. Even the drop down function would not work until the car had been in the sun for awhile. I was afraid I'd shatter the window every time I closed the door. There were so many creaks and rattles I thought there was a ghost in the car (I imagined it was Leslie Nielsen playing with his whoopie cushion). I mean A LOT of creaks and rattles. More than any other car I've driven. When wearing gloves, my attempts to turn up the volume using the steering mounted controls (to drown out the noise Mr. Nielsen's ghost was making), I activated the phone controls. Several times. Why didn't Nissan make the track advance button the volume control?!? Not surprisingly, the summer tires acted like ice skates (this problem will be solved - Hankook Ventus performance all-seasons going on tomorrow for the winter ) Anyone else have issues come up when the cold weather hits? (and if you guys in AZ, SoCal, TX, FL etc. tell me it never gets cold there I'm going to have a nervous breakdown!)

Huh? The 370Z is based upon a very solid chassis. Have you checked you spare tire area to determine whether things are battened down properly? Zero creaks on our 370Z. Zero rattles.

In TX it does indeed get cold, just not as extreme as the folks up north. It'll get down to the teens and single digits at times, but we won't get the crazy -20 or -30*. I can't relate to the window issue, my Z gets garaged.
The tires will basically turn into hockey pucks during the winter, I basically use it as an excuse to keep me in check. I don't think its as bad as some say, but I definitely wouldn't be doing any spirited driving on the stock bridgestones in cold weather. on the bright side, the heater works great in conjunction with the engine heat that people complain about during the summer |

Some are quiet, others are squeak/rattle monsters. My Z was one of the latter. It squeaked and rattled over every little bump.

Our 370Z was one of the first 2009's on the Nissan showrooms so maybe they built them better for the first allotment? We just now have encountered the rear hatch sticking.

It's just a luck of the draw thing I guess. Some of the cars are fine while others are riddled with rattles and squeaks. I had a couple in the hatch, the passenger door, and the roofliner, as well as one somewhere in the dash behind the cubby.

The Icy warning light went off for the first time the other night. Because of this I turned the VDC on. But I have not noticed the tires losing their grip. I will be more aware though.

I just got this one recently, it sounds like something is loose enough to rattle and buzz with certain resonance from the exhaust.

The good thing is it's really easy to pop the center console out so you can look around and see if anything is loose.
