Found some new things to complain about

I definitely have more creaks rattles when its cold like in the 40s. But my car is parked outside. I think if it is garaged, it shouldnt make a difference.

Seriously? lets review..

the windows froze because it was cold.. this happens on alot of cars in cold weather

creaking noises because its cold... this happens on alot of cars in cold weather.

summer tires in cold weather are not as grippy.. this happens on alot of cars with summer tires in cold weather.

see a pattern here?

And for the issue with your gloves.. umm.. take them off?

Not trying to be an *** but these are common things.

+1

Cars creak when they are cold because all that nicely fitted interior was fitted when it was 70* or so. Not when it was 20*. Plastic expands/contracts wither temperature changes. It's physics. You fit something perfect when it's 20* and it is going to crack or creak like crazy or the vents will pop out and everything else will buldge/bend when it hits 120* in the summer in your parked car.

Normal.

This is like complaining that you have a dash-light on when you have a nearly empty gas-tank.

Yeah, I could have taken the MZ3 out, but the Z sat all day yesterday and the forecast was for temps in the upper 30's today (warm enough for my Z!).

Liquid G, I didn't take your comment to be an ***. I should explain a couple of things so I don't sound like a whiner:
The windows were completely frozen at 28 degrees to the point where the drop down feature wouldn't work. I noticed the first time I got the car that the windows go down dry and come up wet (TWSS...anyone?!?) after it rains, sometimes long after it rains. I posted about it and got affirmative replies from many other forum members. Gotta be moisture in the panel, causing the exceptionally powerful freeze.

The creaks were so loud I thought I lost my bumper. I pulled over to look (seriously). I've never experienced that before in ANY of the 15 cars I've owned since 1981.

You'll notice that I already had the tire issue addressed. Tirerack delivered my all seasons to my installer earlier this week

The audio controls on the steering wheel bugged me from day 1. I go for the volume more than any other function, so I always wished that control was easier to locate.

Anyway, none of this would make me want to get rid of the Z. Just biotching on a Thursday the feels like a Monday.

We haven't had below freezing yet, but I had none of those issues driving through snow in the NSX. Or my Eclipse GT. Or my MR-2. But they didn't have heated seats...

I've restarted the current track a few times going around corners with gloves on (but I use them all the time - better grip, cleaner steering wheel) plus we don't have a heated steering wheel

And I can't hit the volume up/down on the steering wheel with gloves, barely find it useable without them. Definitely a design mistake there.

I don't have a problem using the volume knob though - if you're driving a 6MT, I'd think you're right hand would be hovering around there anyway... makes me thing of the stereo remote I had in my MR-2, like I couldn't reach three inches

Seriously?

If you are driving in the Z with temperatures below 25ºF with Summer tires you have a Death Wish!

There were so many creaks and rattles I thought there was a ghost in the car (I imagined it was Leslie Nielsen playing with his whoopie cushion). I mean A LOT of creaks and rattles. More than any other car I've driven.

When wearing gloves, my attempts to turn up the volume using the steering mounted controls (to drown out the noise Mr. Nielsen's ghost was making), I activated the phone controls. Several times. Why didn't Nissan make the track advance button the volume control?!?

Not surprisingly, the summer tires acted like ice skates (this problem will be solved - Hankook Ventus performance all-seasons going on tomorrow for the winter )

Anyone else have issues come up when the cold weather hits? (and if you guys in AZ, SoCal, TX, FL etc. tell me it never gets cold there I'm going to have a nervous breakdown!)

Dead on in every aspect IMO. I noticed the same things the other morning when it was about 28*f here. It's hardly ever cold down here but ice is ice, and it does happen.

I dunno, I took potenza tires through an off-ramp at 40 when it was 28 this morning and no slippy light went on. Just don't treat the roads like a track and I was OK going slowly. Will probably take the Jeep to work from now on as it looks like rain/ice/snow coming this weekend. No creaks... road noise is probably higher because the tires are harder?

My only complaint is that I can't turn off the horn beep with the light flash on my Nismo. I don't have the Nav to enable me to do this. If I turn off the horn beep my lights don't flash. I wanna be able to just turn the horn off with my lights flashing, is that too much to ask for. lol

I had started a thread about my windows freezing a couple weeks ago, I recently noticed the seal along the bottom was not even touching the glass but got no answer if any one else's car was the same. Sounds like yours is, Every time it was cold enough for water to freeze my windows were stuck. After I noticed the seal I opened the windows and tried to bend it down with my finger so the inner out outer seals overlap. My window was not frozen yesterday (26 degrees I think) but it's to early to say if that really did anything or not. Obviously it also seems like a temporary fix but we'll see, I also sprayed some frost preventive stuff on it to so that is probably a factor. My windows are also wet if I put them down/ back up.

As far as noises I haven't noticed any and I have a roadster so I would expect it to be worse.
