with your two FF ecnoboxes (no more nismo) you have nothing to worry about snow.

Pelican170 11-29-2010 11:05 AM

Im in the same boat as you :(. Now i just day dream about the parts that I cant afford right now lol.

kenchan 11-29-2010 11:07 AM

ive been watching the weather pretty closely these days to see when my last motoring day for my G and Z are for the season. been filling the tank after each drive.

basically once they start using salt my G35C hibernates.

once the roads are covered in snow my Z hibernates....atleast until a dry day. my Z is pretty much stock so im not too worried about salt and corrosion.

my dd's wearing snow tires already. :p and it being MT it's not really boring at all to drive it on bad days. :D

m4a1mustang 11-29-2010 11:13 AM

Just go sit in the car and take it for imaginary drives.

Yup! Hell, if you have an iPad or laptop just set it on your dash and load up some road course onboard videos and pretend you're driving! :driving::tup:

Seriously, make sure that you setup some mouse and/or rat traps under your car while stored. Those little guys love to gnaw at wiring and I have known several preople who have had to replace harnesses because of them.

Liquid_G 11-29-2010 01:07 PM

buy a PS3 and Gran Turismo 5, along with a racing wheel.

Brazilbro 11-29-2010 02:00 PM

:iagree: Driving the Z in GT5 is amazing! Feels very real. I'm a little upset that you can only get a SC on the Z and not the TT kit.. :driving:

save for parts come spring :driving:

Holliday 11-29-2010 03:34 PM

Mine is parked in the garage too :(

This is the time of year to buy parts and work on the Z for spring :)

I just sent deposit for a set of Venaci VG10 20x9.5 - 20x11 with V12 255 & 305's!

I got my Berk exhaust here finally after almost a year of madness!

H&R springs and SPC front and rear camber arms are on the way also!

Debating on powder coating the Akebonos gold or red? This would be the perfect time to do it for sure.

I'd get a little nissan or toyota beater fourwheel drive truck to kick around in. There lots of fun off road and very reliable for what there worth. My son and I love off roading and its a good escape from everyday work.

I can't wait to move South, hate the cold and snow. For now I'm stock here until I can find a job in my career field down South.

Ohh man i know how ya feel, I just put mine in storage for the winter down here in Boston. There is no way you could drive a Z up in VT during the winter time. Now i have to drive a bulky Jeep for five months.....lets hope Spring comes early!

Red__Zed 11-30-2010 11:41 AM

My car's been hanging at the dealership while they fix up the clear bra application. I haven't been able to drive it in a month, and won't get it back before I garage it.

TypeOne 11-30-2010 01:56 PM

Gotta love LA... never snows down here. The cars always run best in the winter!!

kenchan 11-30-2010 02:59 PM

it just rains like hell in LA in the wet season... (dec - feb).

Can you post the info and place you got your cover from? Thanks in advance :)

It's so funny how when I'm driving the Z during the spring and summer months I don't think about modding that much, but when it's parked for the winter it's all I think about. It's been parked in the garage for 2 weeks now and I already ordered wheels and lowering springs.

I think I'm going to take it out and put a plow on the front... make some extra money this winter to offset the modding costs :icon17:

What wheels and suspension did you go with?

Good luck with your projects

2009 Nissan 370 Z Custom Car Cover Stretch Satin | CarCoverPlanet.com

Stretch Satin with Fleece liner. It is meant for indoor use. They have outdoor covers as well.

Recommended by Lou Fusz and I am very happy with it. Very good quality and worth the money.
