I've been having a rather unique experience that I quite frankly would rather do without. Drivers in oncoming traffic going the opposite direction gawk at my car and start to veer across the line into my lane, nearly causing a head-on collision! They don't realize that they're doing it, they just momentarily get too absorbed with staring at my car and start drifting. Just yesterday this happened twice within 1 minute. It's a little terrifying, to be honest.

I haven't had soemthing like that happen, thank god. Here in Louisville, traffic accidents are pretty numerous, and it's come to the point where I will notice a drive to or from work WITHOUT one, which is sad.
I had a recent unique experience with someone driving a 350Z. He was acting really excited to be in his car, like a kid driving his parents' sports car for the first time, and asked me where I got my mods for my 350 lol. I simply answered with "Nissan" to which he remarked that he didn't know they did car mods. I don't know if I should chalk that up to young innocence, or foolish ignorance. I just chuckled and went along my way. |

After picking up some detailing supplies at an auto parts store, I was in the parking lot when a guy tells his little girl as they walk by (she was about 5-6) "Oh wow, now look at that...isn't that the car for you" So I walked past them and was about to get it and hes like "the lines on that car are absolutely beautiful" then he proceeded to do the walk around.

Some little kid came up to me when I was outside washing the Nismo and tugged on my sleeve and said... "where did you get the batmobile"... lol
was pretty awesome.. My wife later told me, it was the second time the kid had looked at my car... he wouldn't touch it, but would do a walk around, and stand on his tip toes to look inside.. she said it was probably what I was like as a young kid Last edited by Isamu; 03-04-2011 at 07:28 AM. |

Seasoned Z Enthusiast
I was walking out of a Trader Joe’s, and saw a minivan drive by my car very slowly a few times. As I walked up to my car, the minivan was slowly driving away. I guess he saw me coming up to it and came back again. This guy in his early to mid 50s lowers his window, and asks me if that’s the new Z. After I confirm that it is, he gets out, runs through the list of all the Zs he has owned and tells me about his involvement in cars with a ton of enthusiasm. I welcomed him to take a look at it and then he ran through all of the reasons that he thought it was way better than any of the competition. It's always nice to hear positive things about your car from the people that truly know their cars.

The first time I drove one it completely changed my mind about the car. I thought 230rwtq would feel slow and lack responsiveness under 4K compared to the V8's I was used to. I was surprised that it felt nothing of the sort, even hitting it from a low roll in first.

I have gotten loads of looks and compliments. Thumbs up. I've also won two show & shine events with the Z.
(wouldn't have gotten any of that without the Z)

1. A lot of people on the highway slow down to look
2. I wash my car daily (seriously). An attendant at the wash asked me if it was my first car for some reason... I'm 31 and No, it's like my 15th. The only difference is the other 13 cars sucked ***. The reason I say 13 is because one of them was a '72 240z which started my love. 3. A lot of people with cars that are beat up REALLY want to race for some reason. I don't bother. I'm not 16-18 anymore. I just don't care to beat my car up. |
