oil temps and long distance driving

Hey all. When I drive around town my oil temps quickly get to about 220 but usually stays there. I live in Virginia and will be headed to south Carolina

When I drive around town my oil temps quickly get to about 220 but usually stays there. I live in Virginia and will be headed to south Carolina to see my sister. I'm traveling with my 8 year old too. I would take my Tahoe but I let the tags expire plus the brakes are about to go. Anyway do you think I would run into a oil temp problem driving that far with no oil cooler or should I just rent a car?
