the chicks

just wondering what ur girls think about the 370z, im curious to see whether or not they like it, if they even know what it is, and if its a "chicks" car. Im just wondering nothing too serious lol.

Thanks

That would be a question for bossman. :rofl2:

molamann 03-19-2009 09:34 AM

The Z's definitely a chick friendly car. My girlfriend for example has no clue about cars and we both went to the Nissan dealer to look at the Z and the new Maxima. Let's just say that the fact I'm on this forum explains the rest of the story. :>

k.alexander 03-19-2009 09:37 AM

^ Yeah my gf also is not a car person, but the night I brought the baby home (the Z, not the gf :), I swear, I think she was more excited than I was. Next think I heard her spitting out "332bhp V6" and "4.7sec 0-60mph" in a conversation, to one of her friends, later the same week. To say that I was shocked would be an understatement of the century.

My wife loves it. We were playing NFS Undercover and I was showing it to her and she was like that is so cool. Then we watched all the release videos and she pushed more to get it. One night my 350Z Hatch fell on my head and she said, "That's it! It's sign you need to get rid of your 350Z and get the 370Z"

I feel bad for her because everywhere we go we hear, "does your husband let you drive it?" It boils me up to hear that. It really is as much her car as it is mine but she doesn't drive because she doesn't know how to drive stick. I told her to respond "I dont' care about driving it as long as I look good in it."

kailua 03-19-2009 11:44 AM

The responses have been mixed.

Some grandma in front of the Starbucks said it was "cute". My friend's GF seemed to really like it; she spent a good 20 min just sitting in the car and playing with the buttons while he and I were doing an oil change on his GTI. The other night, I parked and was standing in front of Souplantation and a cute girl who also just parked a couple cars down, did a double take at the Z and started looking into the windows and generally gawking at it, like all those folks at an autoshow would do.

The response from guys have been equally interesting. If I park in front of a high traffic area, like a Starbucks or Subway, the bros would start circling the vehicle like vultures, mutter to each other about some stat about the Z and then all flee when I approach the car. I had one kid park his black 350z track right next to mine, take a few photos and then leave. That was it. The weirdest thing I have seen.

Hmm, one of the craziest story with the Z was when I was in the interestate in Dallas, Tx. Some couple in a Civic SI were literally taking pictures of me and my girlfriend in the car while we were in the busy *** interstate. That was with the flashes on too. I didn't really mind it then but it could've been a disaster.

import111 03-19-2009 11:55 AM

My g/f likes my 370Z better than she did my 05 STi by a long shot. Also girls I work with like the Z better too. Seems to be a chick friendly car to me.

LOL, now that's some funny stuff.

my wife did not know me when I had my 82 280ZX.

she liked my 86 300ZX.

she loves my 91 300ZXTT.

she never did like my 05 350Z.

she loves the 370Z. When I picked it up and went to see her at work, her expression upon seeing the car gave her away, she had not even looked closely at pictures at that point, so she wasn't sure what it looked like. When she got in it, she was ecstatic about the interior. I asked her a few weeks later if she really likes it and she told me she can't figure out exactly what it is but she just really likes this one. said she likes everything about it.

to be honest, I have yet to have anything but very positive comments about the car from men and women in the two months I have owned it.

kevr6 03-19-2009 01:06 PM

My wife likes my 2008 Audi TT and even my 2004 R32 better then the Z. She is biased toward German cars! She did pick out the color though so she now does have some connectiong to the Z. I just need to let her drive it!

AndreZ Cadena 03-19-2009 01:25 PM

Lol, funny to find this thread and some people saying things about guys aproaching, because last night some dude in a G37S FOLLOWED me home to see my car! I was kinda freaked out at first because I am in the military and this dude and his friend are middle eastern and have that middle eastern look, so at first I was kinda conservative but the guys seemed really cool and just wanted to see the car.... Oh...and yeah my wife likes it too

This dude----->:ughdance:

two of my friends are girls. Both love it and think its great, wich is odd becuase they both hated my 2005 350z calling it ugly and "it looks like a white egg".

One of them can drive manual and is amazed by the synco rev and the HID lights and how clear they are and feels she needs to get one now also.

The othe one doesnt know how to drive manual and wants to get a auto one, but doesnt like it dosent have back seats. This one seemed the most excited and kept asking to smell the new car smell hehe.

Either way those 2 are normaly my biggest haters and they seem to really like it.

arcticreaver 03-19-2009 02:46 PM

all my girl friends think the car is hot.

batman_4 03-19-2009 03:06 PM

positive feedback here as well from the ladies. they used to say my previous 350Z looked ghetto/street racer (go figure) but that this one looks how/sexy/manly lol

bullitt5897 03-19-2009 03:18 PM

My GF loves the car and thinks it is leap and bounds better than my 07 s2k!!! We have a track day in may together:ughdance: I really need to get her warmed up before the event!

DIGItonium 03-19-2009 07:29 PM

My gf helped me lean towards Platinum Graphite over Brilliant Silver. She was pretty depressed about selling the 350Z because we had brief moments in the car. My 350Z was Chrome Silver, so I was a bit hesitant about getting a darker silver color. After seeing it in the dealer in person, I'm happy we made the right choice. Now I'm playing the waiting game (1 more month).

Anatoray 03-19-2009 07:34 PM

Most of my girl friends are of the conservative spenidng type, so I was a bit nervous when showing them my car. The last thing I needed was a lecture on excessive spending and blah blah blah, but I saved up for this thing.

It literally blew my mind when they all loved the car, and actually argued over who got to ride in it first. I fidn that the 370 is much more appealing all around than the 350. That car seemed a lot more on the edge of like/dislike.

Brazilbro 03-19-2009 07:46 PM

Well, when i had my evo i wouldnt have anyone look at me twice on the streets , unless it was a dude between 12-30 that knew something about cars, some girls at work said it was nice, but just in passing.. Then.. i show up in the Z and the girls are freaking out wanting to sit in it and go for rides, also on the street i get all types of people breaking there necks to check it out, from the 30 somethink soccer mom, too the 50ish in the BMW.

Oh ! Boy .... I've got to jump into this silly thread.

My wife didn't know what car I bought, until I brought it home. She has her car. I have my car.

She thinks the new car is childish, she was pissed at my choice of only getting a 2 seater, and remained so for the standard 3 days. This comes from someone who reads Vanity Fair.

Funny thing is though....she was pissed at the Honda S2000 I brought home 3 years ago and remained so for the standard 3 days and then loved it after about a month.

I expect something similar.

As fare as a CHICK car.....ha ha ....that's so funny.....Eclipse is a chick car.

And for those that are doubting......My wife and I get a long fantastic.

Sergio98 03-19-2009 09:53 PM

When I was dating my wife, I used to drive an '04 350z. We both loved it and had great time with it. Then we got married and had a baby. I traded it in for a Chevy Avalanche. We missed 350z. When the 370z came out in January, we traded in her Jeep and got the new one. We love it, but this time its her car... :(. I drive it on weekends.

Anatoray 03-19-2009 10:12 PM

I can only imagine what it must be like to have a Z in your garage on not being able to drive at will. Growing up, my parents never had fancy go-go cars, just the family friendly ones that can go on road trips with 4 people in them, so I haven't ever really experienced something like that.

Actually, come to think of it, I find it odd that my roommates don't want to drive my car. They're terrified of it.

Musashi 03-19-2009 11:40 PM

pretty lame thread. Your Z will pick up more sausage then chicks.... Lol annoying as hell but true.

FoxMan 03-20-2009 09:59 AM

My wife doesn't like it at all. I don't know what it is. She keeps trying to talk me into other cars that are much more expensive. She doesn't get the whole bang for the buck deal.

There certain questions which are just not appropriate after you pass 14 years old.

Buy a car for you. Buy flowers for women.

haha! Point is you can't rely on a car to pick up girls. The Z is an awesome car that you get for you and no one else.

The Z is an outstanding sports car and I like the interior better then a 911 and cayman.
