The Little Lady drives her car and the Z is mine. Costco visits are alway done in hers'.

I debated on this issue before getting the Z and have found that I made the right choice (for the most part). My previous car was a 1996 Saab 900se convertible which meant I had four seats and a respectable trunk for a convertible. I rarely ever had passengers in my car, so the back seats were almost never used so my thoughts on getting a 2 seater revolved around the fact that I never have a need for rear seats anyway.
Well, one thought that crossed my mind was that as soon as I don't have rear seats, that is when I will need them and there have been a bunch of times that has happened haha. However, for 99% of the time I drive by myself so I am much happier with the way the Z feels to me as a driver. There is a good amount of hatch space but a lot of it is very hard to use fully which is unfortunate. |
Empty nest over here. Both kids in college, both have their own cars. I have a second car as well. I would have loved a sports car when the kids were little, but could not afford it. Besides, I was into having pickup trucks at the time.
Did anyone catch that Kenchan's kids ride around in RICARO booster seats? Ken, what are you doing, trying to train your kids to be the next Stig?!? |
so really by the time my kid is old enough to go to car shows etc... with me she can sit up front anyway legally. for some reason I thought kids had to be like 8 to sit up front. So as long as the airbag is off that is ok younger. is that a state to state law or fed?

I have two kids and have only had about three ocassions that not having back seats has been an issue.
Then it is fall back to the wifes suv or the winter beater to manage. |
My wife and I are both retired. She and I use our 05 Altima as the DD and have an 01 Dodge Grand Caravan for backup. My Z will be driven for fun and excitement. I plan on driving it in nice weather only. No snow or rain for my Z.

You + wife + baby = 3
This car is a 2 seater = unless you have another DD (with proper seating), this car makes no sense to purchase/own as a DD. The great killerbee has spoken and the mysteries of the universe have been solved! :tiphat: |
It's my DD. Then again, I'm 24 and single so I don't need any more room.

im hoping by next spring my younger kid can get in/out of his seat by himself so that i can use my G as my dd. right now i still need to pick him up and strap him into his 5 point recaro.... have to say though, the recaro child seats are very protective and the latch buckles are awesome for the parents. so easy to use it's easily worth the difference in price...well, unless you have a fat child that dont fit. lol :rofl2: |
off topic but what part of the Philly burbs?

I don't have a Z, but I do have a 2-seater for my fun car. I have a 4-door family car for my DD, though, as I do have friends and I want something that can soak up door-dings without causing me anguish. |
The z is basically a chair with wheels. Not practical at all. Hence it is an excellent excuse for not having to chauffer my kids and their friends around.
