Not to sure I only stayed for three base lines and then left to install parts at my co workers shop at his house. But after exhaust bolt ons I gained 22whp

This isn't exactly true because of the gear ratio basically makes up for the powertrain loss. If the AT was a 6 speed as well the gear ratio would have to be modified and wouldn't be as efficient.

Tests show the difference is very small, and considering the 7AT accelerates at least as fast as the 6MT with the same crank HP, I doubt if there is much difference.
I assume the full lockup of the torque converter in M mode contributes to the lack of old style AT loss.

Did any of you need to disconnect something to dyno the car? I dynod mine and got very low hp and all the lights (abs, vdc, slip) on the dash. i think the lights are normal but the car is putting very low numbers

I did 2 baseline on 2 different dynapack (SG-Motorsport ) ( APH )
it was both very close to each other 256whp & 258whp im now at 324whp from the 256whp @ SGM which the latest dyno tune was done at about 10deg C more than the baseline. |

^^^ 321 on a dynojet??? What are your mods? Do you have the drf files?
EDIT; Never mind -- found it: Quote:
Wow -- so the larger TB's, MAF tubes and PPE headers served you well! Tell me more about the PPE headers -- how does it sound? Any rasp? I have a set of these that I have been going back and forth on installing... Any driveability or idle quirks with the larger TB and MAF tubes? Do you have dynos for each individual mod, or only a baseline and then with all the new goodies installed? Very curious to see the relative change for each one. Would you mind asking the shop for your drfs and sharing them with me? If not -- please send them to jlitman@mail.usf.edu I'll make whatever comparison graphs you like in return Feel free to PM me or post here in reply.

Also, what kind of dyno? "Low" is relative.

Isn't the 7AT Z quicker than the manual on pavement?
