Has anyone looked @ the Handfree volume adjustment in the hidden settings or hidden detailed settings menu?
I suspect that the 370 has the same system as my GT-R, so give this a go. Turn car to on or accessory. Turn Audio off (press volume knob in). Press and hold settings button (if acknowledgment screen comes up .. go ahead and acknowledge, and then press and hold settings button again). Turn volume knob approx 20 clicks in either direction ... without pressing it IN (i.e. do not turn audio on). That should get you to the diagnostic and settings page ... if you want the detailed settings .. while on the first page .. do the sequence a again (settings + ~20 clicks) and it will the change to a (detailed) settings page ... on the handfree subpage page is a volume adjustment. Secondly, I have removed and cracked the HD password and put a larger HD in my Musicbox .... are there any coders out there that could find a Software way to remove the speed sensor related to NAV and other control functions locked out while moving? As for the speed sensor hack, in my IS350, I had to cut the speed sensor wire from behind the nav and ground it to make it seem like my speed was at 0. That was the only way to trick the car into thinking it was parked. I haven't had the chance to look yet but, where is the hard drive for the music box located in the Z? |

/self-congratulatory back pat .... I got rep'ed for my first post YiPee!
The HD is located inside the headunit. Be aware that the HD is password protected using the ATA password standard (same thing a setting a HD password in BIOS on a laptop.) I had to learn that standard and then us a logic analyzer to capture my head-unit's power exchange with the HD to reverse crack the password. You can see the contents of the HD and other information here(s): http://www.nagtroc.org/forums/index....dpost&p=385111 http://www.nagtroc.org/forums/index....dpost&p=388865 http://www.nagtroc.org/forums/index....dpost&p=388992 http://www.nagtroc.org/forums/index....dpost&p=389863 |

Going Contra on the Z doesn't have the same effect as it used too :) ******* Different car but similar if not same musicbox/head-unit, so here is a ? I posted over on NAGTROC ... maybe you guys can comment? My iPhone 3G worked wonderfully well (with regards to docking undocking) prior to the 3.0 release. 2009 Model August Delivery no updates to NAV NOTE: I use a Scosche Passport for power conversion. I could plug it in with the car in any state (off, ACC, ON, Radio on, Radio off) and it would always recgnize it. Once I upgraded to 3.0 on the iPhone it became more troublesome, behaving decent about the half the time, the other half the time it would show "iPod not connected" and wouold require a plug and unplug or two. Now that I finally got to 3.1 code on the iPhone I have been able to get it recognized by the head unit once in about 15 connections, and only then If I unlock the phone, plug it in with car off, and the apply power to car while phone is still unlocked. It never recognizes it with a unplug/plug while the car is on/running ... meaning If I finally get it recognized and have to unplug it for some reason....I am with iPod until I can turn the car off and reconnect using the above procedure what seems like a few hundred times. I have taken an older iPod and connected up and it works/is recognized in ALL situations .... so I do not think it is the cable. Is anyone else having issues with 3.1 (or 3.0) coded iPod/iPhone devices? TIA, K-D |

3Gs here, one issue the only thing you can't do is transfer the number but otherwise everything else works.

ps - what is a sideview cam? i have never seen a car with a camera on the side |
Krowten-Dog, i've only had my car for less than a week so far but my iPhone 2G, 3G, and 3GS have worked flawlessly, all of them on 3.1.2 firmware and jailbroken...at first i did have issues with the HU recognizing the phones via Belkin cable but later i realized the cable was only for charging and not for synching...as soon as i switched to the original Apple cable, it recognized the phones just fine...i've also tried it with a 1st and 2nd gen iPod Nano and my gf's 30GB iPod video and they too work flawlessly...i've not yet tried connecting to the RCA video/audio inputs, however, since don't have one of those stereo mini-plugs to RCA cables

Rasengan can you please post up your software version.
I'd like to upgrade to your version but I'm wondering if your nav system is a whole different version than mine. |

me version 8.3 as I don't see anything close in your version. I don't want to pay $130 for a few street names. |
