I don't think so. I went through all of my contacts and put names and numbers in the car phonebook and still just the number shows

Anybody get anything new working on their system with the 3.0 iPhone release?

I actually got the opposite with the new update. I can't listen to my music when I connect the iPhone. I now get the peripheral not made for the iPhone message, it sucks. This was working perfectly fine before the update.

Ive had iphone gen1, 3g, and 3gs in 370z. all work flawlessly.

What firmwire versions in your iPhones are/were you running?

Mine works perfectly except for two things:

1) Can't transfer phonebook via blutooth, so I have the same issue as phimosis.

2) My Navi goes to "map" mode after I hang up the phone....pretty annoying.

anyone got a fix for the lack of phonebook transferability?

oh you cant do that. You will have to plug it in. The problem is because Apple doesnt allow the iphone to send out the phonebook via blutooth.

That is incorrect - the iPhone DOES supports phone book transfer. My last car had a Pioneer headunit and the phone book transferred from my iPhone just fine over bluetooth (at least up to the first 400 entries - a memory limit of the Pioneer unit). However, the Nissan headunit does not support apple phone book transfer. I wish they would come out with a software update that would fix that and also allow music streaming over bluetooth (which I haven't been able to get to work either) although it works fine from my iPhone in cars with Microsoft Sync-enabled stereos.

If you start your music then plug it in, confirmed that the 3G w firmware 3.1.2 works with the Z.

My 3gs (3.1 Jailbroken) "works" with the 370z Nav system. When I say "works" it means as well as it ever has with limitations such as:
* Requires charging adapter to get it to charge and sync
* Gets the annoying "airplane" mode warning you have to bypass
* Does not support phone book sync
* Does not support bluetooth stereo streaming - requires USB connection

Phonebook transfer may have worked before, but it doesnt work anymore... I think its stupid that Apple did this with the new 3GS
