What I meant was-- How many members have traded in their Z's?

The CRZ's are nice, I've seen some really clean fixed up ones on the Internet. I have been considering this myself. Good luck!

Vegitto-kun 11-16-2010 02:12 PM

you bought a car from the company that is the cause of all this hybrid ********.

damn

sonic370 11-16-2010 07:35 PM

i'll trade my 370 in when i get tired of the drop dead good looks, when it gets old having strangers stare at it,oh and did i mention the handling and the sound of the engine going thru the revs. then i might trade.for a new one:driving:

Red370 11-16-2010 09:50 PM

whats with everybody trading their Z's in on cars that are in a completely different class? guys trading in for SUV's, Crossovers, Hybrids.... hell, at least trade for something comparable in the power department! no hate on the CRZ, they're cute little cars, but man, i'd go effin nuts taking a power hit like that!

It's not so bad. I went from 350 horsepower to 145. True, I plan on buying another sports car next year, but every car has it's "cool" attributes.

You can thank the government and stricter standards for emissions, fines, etc. Don't blame Honda for trying to get ahead of the inevitable curve. They also kept Nissan on their toes with the S2000, which the 350Z was most comparable to in most aspects, regarding the cars available at the time in that price range in that market segment. Maybe you should thank Honda?

Well people's lives change, their priorities change. They get divorced, married, have a kid or a dog, lose their job, move across the country etc. That's why I like the Jag, sure it corners like a train, but 0-60 it's about the same exact speed as the Z, and gets comparable mileage too.

Oh I have no idea. I'm sure some people have sold their cars and not said anything, others just stop coming here after they sell. But the car has been out for almost two years now so I would imagine there will be more churn in the future.

Rui Z 11-17-2010 01:07 AM

If Honda would have stuck closer to the smooth lines of the CRZ concept, I would have bought it over the Z. But it was too different. Also, power and mpg was lower than I expected. But it's still a sweet looking car, and in my top 5 under $25K car list.

Slowly but surely more dbags from my350 will start filtering in... i've noticed alot of Nismo guys are getting rid of their cars, which is sad because the cars will be a collectors item down the road. And unfortunately with everyone trading their Z's in now, the depreciation rate will surely increase, just in time for Joe Dbag and his job as a fry cook at McDonalds, to now own a 370Z:shakes head:

The Z depreciates pretty fast and at an original MSRP in the low 30's for many models/trim levels is not an exclusive car. The only thing that keeps more hicks from owning them is the existance of the Camaro and Mustang. There is no "barrier to entry" with the 370Z, just more traditionally appealing teen-mobiles and hick-wagons.

And if this bothers you about the car you own, you've got issues.

Got news for ya. The Z is not a porsche. It's not a vette. It's not so expensive that it's exclusive or rare. Why did anyone buy a Z assuming that this would be the case?

Like Convert said, you can buy one in the low 30's.

And the Mustang will soon be the same.
