Why did you choose the CR-Z? I'm having a CR-Z debate with a friend of mine. People would jump to own the CR-Z if there were an Si or Type-R model

Personally I love the car!

They have a Mugen accessory kit which takes the looks over the top. No performance increase, though. :icon17:

thats why you have no money. :icon17:

red6spd 11-16-2010 10:01 AM

So why did you trade???

ClemsonWill 11-16-2010 10:04 AM

I really like the CRZ. Congratulations. I'm sure the aftermarket world will jump on it very quickly.

wow the CRZ did not fair well with Motor Trends Car of the Year Comp.

Quote:

3. HIGH-SPEED LOOP
Three lanes; 6.4 miles Smooth surface and long, constant-radius turns enable evaluation of engine noise and transmission shift quality under hard acceleration. High speeds test suppression of wind noise and tire roar, as well as vehicle steering and stability at high speed.
MOST REFINED: Audi A8
LEAST REFINED: Honda CR-Z

4. FREEWAY SURFACES
One lane; 1.25 miles
Sectioned into exact replicas of L.A.'s notoriously choppy 710, 10, and 5 freeways, and taken at a steady 65 mph, this section allows evaluation of vehicle ride quality as well as transmitted tire noise and suspension thump.
SMOOTHEST: Toyota Avalon
ROUGHEST: Honda CR-Z

6. SPECIAL SURFACES
17 surfaces; 0.75 mile
Has a mixture of typical distressed road surfaces, from broken asphalt to potholes to deep corrugations to rail crossings. Used for assessing noise from suspension and detecting rattles and squeaks from the body and interior.
TIGHT AND TAUT: Audi A8
RATTLER: Honda CR-Z

Contender: Honda CR-Z
No CRX, no calipers
WE LIKE: Manual gearbox, handling potential, tadpole-position styling.
WE DON'T LIKE: Too much of a compromise; performance tradeoff for marginal green gains.

I know its heresy, but I've been thinking about trading out the Z for another Jeep. Kinda tired of the 6MT, visibility, scraping the nose everywhere, worrying about the white interior...

The thing is, when you ride sportbikes all the time, even the Z isn't particularly fast.

Who knows.

if i were u i woulda waited for the ft-86 .... >.> congrats on the downsize

tonybui 11-16-2010 11:24 AM

I like those CR-Z but would never trade in my Z, I on the other hand would love to add.

However, I can understand the route you took !!

kenchan 11-16-2010 11:37 AM

yah, FT86 should be fun to get and should compete well with the honda....

be like FT86 vs CRZ = AE86 vs Accord wagon carrying a bed. :rofl2:

m4a1mustang 11-16-2010 11:44 AM

Hmmm. JDM bed is small, so very little aerodynamic or weight penalty for the Accord.

If OP ever gets tired of the extra mileage he can always swap in a K series motor. :) A few more dollars in addons and he'll be hanging with the big boys in no time.

Theres a bunch of factory, non-Mugen, body parts and spoilers that make the CRZ look a little more aggressive. The Mugen kit is aweful.
