Driving your z in the snow

Anyone here driven their Z in the snow? If so how well does the handle?
I live in Washington State 80 miles northwest of Seattle and I've been using my Z as a daily driver. The forecast for this coming week shows snow on Thursday and Friday, I may have to and drive my other car the the rest of the winter.

I downsizd to 18" rims and put blizzak LM60? (I think that's the tire) and drove mine all last winter. Never got stuck, never lost control or had any issues and I live in GTA which has a reasonable amount of snow.

You really should have zero issues as long as you have some experience with winter driving...

if you have snow tires you can make it through the winter but if you have another car FWD or AWD i suggest you drive that at least on wet days.

ive driven RWD in snow... it's not fun at all unless you have snow tires. gets stuck very easily in 3-4inches of snow. if it's just flurries you can probably make it with the stock tires but be very gentle on the throttle.

I'll be driving mine in the snow, as soon as we get some. but if your saying you have another car then why are you even asking, you might as well drive the other one unless it's even worse in the snow?

If you plan on driving the Z on even cold days then I would suggest new tires, the OEM tires are performance tires designed for the summer and are not meant for cold temperatures or snow. I've got snow tires on the way, Michelin X-Ice Xi2 in the stock size. I just got my Z so I haven't driven it in anything but rain yet, I don't expect any problems though as long as you are a capable driver, have appropriate tires, and most importantly common sense

I think that if the snow is mounded up in between the tire tracks that you will ruin the chin spoiler .......the one under the radiator...I have not seen that addressed here on the forum, but I have driven in snow before and I can not see a way that it would not be a problem.

That's a good point, it's never been an issue for me before though in other cars... aside from the one where I tore the "useless" thing off and to discover it really did have a purpose

Obviously the depth of snow you can drive through will be limited by the clearance under the car.
If it's a big concern get your self a Power Wagon

Wish I still had mine

I never had anything better in the snow then that

But have you driven a car that has as little clearance as the Z ? And it is there for a reason......it gives you better MPG at highway speeds.......

Thanks, I have already put some all season tires on it. My other car is front wheel drive and I will drive it in the snow

The OEM tires are completely useless when there's a decent amount of accumulation. I had to park mine for a week last year until I bought some 18" snow tires. Once I mounted the snow tires, the car was a ball to drive.

My car has seen snow not by choice, however I will never drive my Z in the snow. That is why I have a truck.
