i just read in Automobile that the new Mercedes CLK55 AMG has lane departure assist that is so intrusive, it will steer you back into an obstacle that you're trying to veer away from. Merc says you have to use the turn signal to deactivate the system. Ridiculous! How's that for a VDC monkey?

Too much crap to go wrong. Now the M3 turns off at stop-lights. Stuff like that just doesn't appeal to me, considering that most engine-wear happens at start-up... |

I stated the same thing a few weeks ago in another thread. Too much technology will take away the real driving experience in a few decades from now.
