This car is bad for your ego!!!!

Man its hard to keep your ego in check and your head from swelling when you drive this car. I've owned three different corvettes and a 350 and
never got all the comments i get with this car.

18 to 25 year girls which is cool. oh i like your car.
18 to 25 year old guys who cares what they think
rednecks in trucks kinda cool. first question how fast you had it
and old farts wishing they wouldn't have let there wifes talk them
out of buying one in their youth.

LOL

The first day I drove mine home, I got comments at gas stations like people have never seen a sports car. I literally got asked if it was "the car that changes shape in the movies."

Fail.

tjlazer 11-10-2010 09:06 PM

haha the envious married guys who wish their wife would let them get one! :)

And the married guys who actually have stones and don't "let" their wife dictate their lives.

I had a lady who must of been 60 years old ask me what my z is and then told me it must be fun to drive. I've never had a lady so old take interest in my car.

cajunz 11-10-2010 09:55 PM

The same thing happened to me the other day. She had to be in her 70's and she walked a complete circle around the car and asked what it was. She said it looked like alot of fun and told me not to get myself in trouble driving it.

I had a woman probably in her early 70s tell me my car was cute.

On the other side of the coin, the most comments that I get are from 13 year old girls.

I used to get tons of comments on my 350, although I think part of it was the color. I had a Daytona Blue 350 and now have a Brilliant Silver 370. Not quite as "in your face" I guess.

chops 11-10-2010 10:49 PM

i had a neighbor walking her dog (probably in her 60's or 70's) asking me if my nismo was a porsche or something. quote "wow, is this a porsche? i saw one of those fancy 4 door porsches the other day..it looked pretty!"

EazyD 11-10-2010 10:55 PM

<< can't wait

StealthZ 11-11-2010 06:33 AM

The most standout comment I got was from an older guy park who besides me in a brand new M3 and commented on how he liked the Z. Also how people always seem to park besides you in junkers, even when your in the last spots at Home Depot. Luckily we weren't worried about door dings for that day.

A few times people asked me at stop lights what it was etc... and say how nice the car is. surprising how many people don't think or beleive its a "Nissan"... must be drunk?

I get this everytime I take the car out.

antman22 11-11-2010 09:55 AM

yeah, definitely gotten comments from wives saying their husbands want one....i had one guy say he wanted to make love to the rims....random people (men and women of all ages) have come by and complimented the Z. almost made the gas station attendant cry at costco cuz he was telling me that he used to race 240's in scca and my z brought back some great memories haha.
one of my clients asked me if it was a porsche. i had to politely correct her, lol. i found it funny at first, but then i've had 2 or 3 others ask the same thing....

:iagree: for some reason the bright colors attract more, while monotone silver and black look more badass. I'm willing to bet a red Z would get approached more than a silver one.

Cunnos 11-11-2010 01:45 PM

You can tell the 370z attracts a lot of attention no matter what color. Whenever I am driving I always see people turning the heads. Most people ask me if its a Porsche..i even had a dumb blond chick last week ask me if it was a Lambo.......and of course my answer was Yes, it is! Lets just say the rest of night turned out to be a good one!

Oh, so now the non red colors are the ugly step children, eh?!? Don't look at that white Z over there. Yuck! And it doesn't even have the sport package! Someone should just put that disgusting excuse for a car into a crusher!

nurseryboy 11-11-2010 02:48 PM

Mine must be broken or something.. LOL. When I'm driving it, everyone seems to look the other way, as if to avoid acknowledging the car. Oh well, I guess I don't need the attention.

LuckyJinx 11-11-2010 02:48 PM

Two blonde girls driving a rx-8 thought my Nismo was a ferrari. I played along with it. Idk what gave it away as a ferrari, the nissan emblem or the 370z emblem. Jeez.

Oh they are looking at it... They just don't want you to know how envious they are of your car by letting u catch them staring at it

I really don't see how anyone could mistake the Z for a Lambo or Ferrari. :icon14:

Not a single model looks anything like the Z, now a Porsche, maybe. They have similar body styles, but I know as soon as you get up on the car you should be able to tell it's not a Porsche. And like LuckyJinx said, Nissan Emblem, 370Z Emblem on it??? Dead give away?! (unless you de-badge your car, of course)

Anywho, my Dad's old 1979 Volkswagen Bus was similar, only 13 year old girls and 60+ year old elderly gave him looks or thumbs up....well and hippies too. :tiphat:

Edit: @PapoZalsa: love the avatar pic.
