Pesky Ricers.. Ohh how they hate my Z.

My Nismo is a daily car(I know, shocking). When I was driving home one night a group of riced out stangs followed me. Riced as rice can be, I mean B-52 spoilers, bad paintjobs, fart cannons, the works. The 3 continued to follow me around Columbia until I pulled in a Walmart. I held onto my ranger knife, cause I was scared.. :eekdance: I rolled down the window and the mexican guy looked at my car and said it was nice..but he also said, "You shhhould getta Mushhtang ese! Don't drive this girly car holmes." Long story short, we all raced. Of course mine was stock, yet I still won -.- any of this ever happen to you? Pesky pesky ricers.. :(

nogoodname 11-03-2010 07:05 PM

Lol.... That's kinda weird.

Anyways.... I called some friends and I got 9 G's and 2 Z's to attend a Honda Civic meet. Let's just say we took over their meet.

LuckyJinx 11-03-2010 07:10 PM

Lol id love to attend some down here.. what if big brother GT-R came at your little meet haha

Cmike2780 11-03-2010 07:27 PM

Hate to be a downer, but posting about street racing is against forum rules.

steveg78 11-03-2010 07:27 PM

Why even feed into that kiddie crap? I had some young punk approach me at a 7-11 and tell me I should trade my Jeep in. He got into daddy's G35 and I told him to trade his life in. If he only knew what was sleeping in the garage.

SkyZ 11-03-2010 07:28 PM

haha just making sure this race was on a TRACK right? you didnt specify so I said it for you

Of course! With helmets and safety precautions. Lol

Soon 11-03-2010 07:40 PM

happens to me all the time

from GTI to Civic,s

all the time, cant wait to put a super charger in and start eating the V8's for breakfast
but unlike the ricers i wont put a big old vinyl banner on the windshield saying "supercharged"
http://houseofgrafx.com/products/ima...D%20banner.jpg

i love inform the ricers that the speed their B-52 wing actually creates downforce their car is not capable of...lol

seungklee 11-03-2010 07:40 PM

This is funny lol

Exactly. I embarrass them in front of their friends by asking them modding questions. Haha

i love it! and im willing to bet it was a bunch of v6 mustangs, not one gt in the group!lol

then they call your car a girly car...why cuz you dont have bout 500 pounds of useless fiberglass bodykits poorly fitted with maaco paint jobs glued to the panels. Not a single piece actually contributing to aerodynamics

dont worry im gonna save and get the artificial airscoop for the roof of the car despite the fact my engine is in the front

oh im sorry i was gonna get those rims homes but autozone ran out of em..:eekdance:

ThoriumHotdog 11-03-2010 07:56 PM

Bah. To each their own. If they want to buy a body kit that hinders the aerodynamics of the car, install the most annoying exhaust possible, screw in a massive wing that blocks the back window, put on rims that weigh 20 lbs more than stock, cut their springs and destroy their ride, glue on oval vents, and paint their cars in terrible two tone schemes that ruin the natural body lines then let them.

Racing such people/cars is dangerous. Whose to say their "mods" won't end up killing you, them and some innocent bystander when another car pulls out on the, track, and the ricers can't break in time thanks to the destroyed suspension and overweight rims?

Waiz 11-03-2010 07:58 PM

:shakes head:exactly

Diocletian 11-03-2010 10:08 PM

Hey don't lump in GTI's with Civics thanks. I have a lot of respect for them because I owned 2 heavily modded ones. :(

I honestly haven't have any stupid ricers try me or do any ricer flyby's since I got this car. This car, with the right exhaust, just commands respect I think. I usually only get thumbs up or compliments from people.

TreeSemdyZee 11-03-2010 10:25 PM

Mustangs, 15-20 year-old Trans Ams and Camaros.
I am in red-neck country after all. :driving:

When I lived down just across from the border, it was ALL about the mustang, especially the 5.0's.

optiontrader 11-03-2010 10:35 PM

Ignore is the best bet. Listen politely (don't roll your eyes!), then move on with your life.

I would take the "you should have gotten a..." from someone driving a ZR1/Z06, GT-R, etc., but I doubt drivers of those cars would even say anything like that. They'll probably remark, "nice ride", and move on with their lives.

It's justification for driving the cars they do that make people talk like that to complete strangers.

USMCASA 11-04-2010 06:26 AM

you should have had a us boarder patrol shirt on lol

nogoodname 11-04-2010 07:29 AM

You could of changed lanes really fast for an exit and I doubt they would be able to follow.....lol.

destinyZ 11-04-2010 07:54 AM

:inoutroflpuke: this thread is awsome. I havent had any trouble just compliments. No one really wants to mess with me, they know better.

ProfessorDave 11-04-2010 08:21 AM

What? You can rice a Mustang?!? Who would do such a thing? I thought there was a rule that you are not allowed to rice out a muscle car.

OP, I don't blame you for being polite with a group of them pursuing you like that. One on one, "girly car" is fightin' words!

370Zsteve 11-04-2010 08:22 AM

LOL, first time I ever heard American cars called Ricers :roflpuke2: forget it man, they were just douchebags.

LuckyJinx 11-04-2010 08:24 AM

It is annoying though, hotheads who think they're better because they think they know what they're doing. They got chrome on everything, lambo doors... :(

destinyZ 11-04-2010 08:38 AM

:iagree: with it all. ricestang, douchstang... failstang...sad little ppl:shakes head:

USMCASA 11-04-2010 08:41 AM

they were just haters, probably illegals and it was all they could afford and thought 'stangs are pimp... FAIL.

Footloose301 11-04-2010 09:21 AM

A coworker of mine just traded in his V6 Mustang... trust me, they can be completely riced out. Complete with the chrome rear lights. I hate those IMHO, worst mistake Subaru did with the STI, but thats for another day.:shakes head:

Long story short, I've gotten nothing but compliments on my Z's. A few here and there that'll weave between traffic to get a glimpse of the car and/or who is driving it and then rev and move on. This car does earn a lot of respect from people of all ages. At a stop light and older guy put down his window in his minivan and began to look over my car and then compliment it and talk about how he used to have a few older Datsuns.

I would almost go as far as saying this "rice" usually kept to front wheel drive cars, but perhaps I'm just bias towards RWD and AWD. Kinda sad when a RWD car is "riced" out.:icon14:

USMCASA 11-04-2010 09:45 AM

i had a old dude, probably in his 70s checking out my car. at first i thought he was gonna say something about damn young ppl and their fast little cars but he then told me he had an original 1970 240z the same color. guess not all old ppl have bad taste in cars like buicks

elmz 11-04-2010 09:57 AM

:shakes head:

turbodog 11-04-2010 10:01 AM

Funny, first time for me was just yesterday. Dude next to me revving, downshifting and jerking forward, all in fairly heavy traffic. Big wing in back, oversize exhaust outlets, body kit of some sort, blacked out tail lights. He was driving a

350Z.

m4a1mustang 11-04-2010 10:03 AM

There are a ton of Mustang ricers. Usually older V6s. I can totally picture the ones the OP described in my head.

RE: I held onto my ranger knife, cause I was scared.. A knife may not have been the best weapon in this situation. Perhaps you should contemplate South Carolinas' allows concealed carry law.

We have tons of the riced out mustangs, escorts, and cavaliers around here. I actually enjoy seeing them. It gives me a good laugh. And I love it even more when they try to race. I just look over and smile because I know that they are just feeling insecure. The driver wants so bad for his little pos to be nicer than it is.

Depends on the Buick.

Old school Buicks are pretty sweet. And the Grand Nationals...
