Anyone else have their gas gauge stuck on Full?

I fill-up when I see the range showing 100 miles. I don't trust the LEDs anymore; I do find the MPG very accurate.

While I absolutely hate the gas gauge lights, mine has been highly accurate each and every time. (I can't say this on my 350Z as the fuel gauge would show empty and I could still go over 100 miles on the tank).

I separately track the MPG on an iPhone app it's consistantly within .2 mpg within what the trip on the car states. I get around 380 miles per tank, so the 350 range is where I start looking for my favorite gas station.

Last night the gauge was still reading full, but the "Range" display seemed to be showing the correct range - about 300 miles. Using an average MPG of about 20MPG that was displayed, that indicates that the tank has about 15 gallons left - definitely not full. So it would seem that the sender is working like it should, but the display is not (either the display itself is bad or something strange is going on with the ECU). And now it's working again like it should - very strange...
The sender may still be the part with the problem. The computer tries to smooth out the fluctuations of the sender so that you don't see flashing lights or moving dials, so erratic sender voltages while driving are hidden. When you restart the car it takes a fresh reading and starts again which is why it is not unusual to see the gauge move a fair bit after a restart.

On my G35 the float arm that the sender uses got bent resulting in the car reporting 3/4 of a tank as I spluttered into the gas station out of fuel.

...On my G35 I couldn't get it filled up all the way..Sometimes yes, sometimes no...It would read 4/5 full, never all the way up.

As mentioned above, I hate the LEDS of the Z (starting to get use to them) I rather have the gauges!

This is simply lack of quality control. Kinda like the stuck hatch issue (which I had on my *1985* 300z!).

Too bad that Nissan doesn't seem to have any desire to solve these minor issues.

I hope the next interior refresh eliminates that digital gas gauge. I don't think anyone likes it (accurate or not).

it happened only once but it was strange...
filled up to go on a little road trip.. and after over 150 miles the dots still
showed full, crap i knew it wasn't... when i got about 200 miles into my trip
it caught up after i turned off the car. but since then it hasn't repeated..

the tech who thought of the gas meter should be fired.
it should be where the clock is. and just be a simple neddle...

Although in this case the Z was started 8-10 times over 3 days before it finally refreshed this morning.
