Engine bogged at low rev
Sup guys. Well today on my way home from work I experienced a weird occurrence. After driving about 5 miles on the freeway I exited the same off ramp I do all the time. Just like always I usually just downshift till the last 30 ft. After I take off making a right turn it happened. At low rpms between 2000-3500 the engine felt like it had no power. Shifting to 2nd gear it did the same thing. It happened also in 3rd and 4th gear. The engine temp was about 217-219 according to the engine temp gauge. No lights came on to indicate anything. My car has about 7000 miles on it. I highly doubt any of my intake and exhaust mods have anything to do with it. I do have a Technosquare reflash on it. I would think if it had something to do with that my check engine would of came on or something. My oil level is just a tad bit higher than the top mark on the dip stick. The off ramp is about 5-6 degree decline and with a somewhat hard braking toward the end maybe, just maybe having the oil level a tad bit high could of caused it.
Anyways after I parked it I reved the engine from idle to about 5000-5500 rpms a couple times. I then turned the car off and left it off for a couple hours. I took it out for a spin again to see if it would still do it again. It ran fine. I started in first at low rpms, then throughout the other gears. It runs just like normal. I couldn't duplicate the problem. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I searched the web hoping to find something but with no luck. Hoping someone here may k ow something about it. Thanks!

I had a little less than half tank. I don't think it was that. It did that the rest of the way home. About 3 miles.

Maybe something to do with your Technosquare ECU reflash? I don't know. I apologize if this is off-topic, but how do you like your Technosquare ECU reflash? how much you putting down to wheels?

You know I haven't had a problem with it for almost a year.(ecu) I don't know how much I'm putting down, but the 8500 rev limit and having no top speed limit is great. It did have more get up and go after I had it reflashed. You can only get so much with it if you know what I mean.
Hopefully it's not the ecu though.

I had it bogging real bad after I had it at WOT for a few stoplight starts etc. It was only happening after WOT runs (even short ones) Anyway, I took it in to Technosquare and talked it over with Tadashi. He kinda scratched his head and hooked up the car to the computer, did something and then said... lemme know. No more bogging problems. So I dunno. It may be the same thing that I had but izzzz fixed now! |

Thanks for the tip! Unfortunately I wont be able to head up to Technosquare for another week or so. I'll give him a call though and see what he says. Thanks!

Well I just got done talking to the guys at Technosquare. It was pretty much what I was thinking. The tune affected only the mid to high RPM ranges.
I really don't know. I guess I'll just disconnect the battery and see what happens.
