these days it's all about functions. when people think 09 model or the newest models, they expect to have the latest "tech" in their car. i mean with Japanese 370z the cam is there for you to add onto the car from Nissan Japan. but again like i said, it's all about functions. people want fast cars and all the latest functions. i think there will be ones who are obsessed with the weight of the car and there are going to be ones who are going to be obsessed with what kind and how many other functions they can add on the new Z. and then, there will be people in the middle.

me, personally? i'm all in it for the functions. the car is fast enough even without mods and the weight is not an issue for me. but again, my own opinion.

Default Here is the Answer I think!!

Doing some looking around! I think this is the solution that we have all been looking for. Basically sounds like get behind your nav screen plug in. Aftermarket cam of your choice they have options under the recommendations and voila!

Here is what I found on myg37:

I'm in the same boat.....

I am contemplating this....PVCI-NIS1 - Peripheral PVCI-NIS1 Video Interface for Select 2004-Up Nissan/Infiniti Nav Radios - .Browse By Vehicle - Car Video - Car Video - Navigation Interfaces - Peripheral - Discount Car Stereo.com - Detail

Saw some of the GT-R guys doing this as their cars do not have a rear camera option. This unit plugs into the factory harness behind the stereo and will switch the lcd screen to the camera (need to purchase separately). You can even add another video input device (i.e. Garmin Nuvi 53 for navi or dvd player, etc.)

From the Website!
