Would you buy again?

Have you enjoyed your 370Z enough that if it were stolen tomorrow, a check from insurance was cut for exactly what you owed/the car was worth, would you buy another one, or look for happiness elsewhere?

kenchan 11-02-2010 07:06 AM

Jep. Im not done playing.

ClemsonWill 11-02-2010 07:17 AM

It would depend on the situation but I'm very happy with my Z. If everything worked out financially the way I wanted it to then I would definitely get another one. Although I would hate having to go through the break-in period again. It took me 3 months the first time.

Lemers 11-02-2010 07:27 AM

My list of cars would most certainly be short. The Z and one other. The only new sports car that has came out since I got my Z is the mustang. I would take it for a test drive to see for myself the difference.

spearfish25 11-02-2010 07:55 AM

If it happened tomorrow, absolutely buy again. If it happened in three years, I'd look at a Cayman S. Or maybe one of the new Lotus models that will be showing up shortly.

m4a1mustang 11-02-2010 07:59 AM

Cake!

Zolfix 11-02-2010 08:43 AM

Of course not. Not because there is anything wrong with the Z, I just like variety and try to get something different every time. Last car was a G35, 370z now, and the next will probably be a slightly used M3...

That's my position. I'd get something else to change it up.

6MT 11-02-2010 08:58 AM

Even though there's many threads (too many to count at times) about the "flaws" and "misgivings" about this car, I would definitely buy again.

Every day I see threads posted about how this car has the worst oil burning engine ever, how the ECU is bad, how the paint is terrible, how the road noise is unacceptable, the famous hatch opening issue, how almost every other sports car has better performance and re-sale value...... and on and on and on.

Yes, I would still buy. I've had absolutely no problems with mine. The performance is all I expected and more. And, the most important part, I've had a great time in mine. So to all those nay-sayers out there that enjoy bashing and trashing this car.... at least I'm convinced it's a very good if not great car for the money I've spent.

(flame away or rep-point me if you agree)

xiven 11-02-2010 09:35 AM

I would def buy a Z again. I love it, the only thing I would change is I'd get a MR Blue, or maybe a 40th Edition. Now that I've been able to see the blue in person, it's not as bad as I thought it was just in pics... :( I r sad panda.

Can I has cake now? :yum:

shadoquad 11-02-2010 09:47 AM

I'd buy a Z again. Without a doubt.

Red__Zed 11-02-2010 09:51 AM

It would depend on exactly what the check came for, and what sort of deal I could get on a Z. I would probably consider a Z, but give more thought to something with a backseat.

Montez 11-02-2010 11:54 AM

Dunno, I would test the waters before I signed on the dotted line as much as I like the Z!

jetguy 11-02-2010 12:02 PM

either another z, used boxster s, or s2000. what else is there? mustang....come on? !? i want a sports car.

Rui Z 11-02-2010 01:48 PM

No, I'd buy a 2012 Miata

I agree and well said. I still don't understand all the talk about the road noise. I bought my 2010 Roadster in late December of "09, had it flat bedded to my garage, and there it sat until the salt was gone from the roads. After reading all the comments about the noise I really wondered what I got myself into. People buying sound deadening products, even one was given to a contest winner if I remember correctly, and the sound of debris hitting the fender wells was so loud that that needed to be tended to also.

If some feel that way, fine, and I won't dispute them, everyone has their own opinion, but when I took her out for the first drive, I was absolutely in love with her from the moment I hit the start button to the moment I stepped out of it after a two hour drive, and I still am.

I love not only the sound of my Z, but everything else about it as well. I am missing her already because tomorrow may be the last day I drive her until spring as I think that will be the day I put her in storage for the winter.

I love my 370Z Roadster. I only wish I could put it into words. It's hard to describe how happy I am when I am driving my Z, even washing-waxing- detailing her, not to mention looking at her sitting there in a parking lot, knowing it's all mine. What an absolutely beautiful automobile.

I had a friend comment to me just a few days ago. He said, with a big smile on his face; "is there ANYTHING that you don't like about your Z?"

My reply was; "no, I could ask for nothing more."

Bye the way, I'd like to send my kudo's to AK and this great Forum. It has been a mainstay to me and I look forward to more of the same in the days and years ahead. The experience I've had with owning, operating and enjoying my Z would not have been the same without this great Forum. I am very glad I stumbled onto it last year.

Thanks AK, and thanks to all the rest of you for being a part of it.

Hey Frost, if you agree, show us your tits! LOL

wilsonp 11-02-2010 05:13 PM

FYI, the roadster is generally acknowledged as quieter than the coupe, and the 2010 roadster I test drove was definitely quieter than my 2009 coupe.

Endgame 11-02-2010 05:25 PM

I voted undecided as I think I would step up to the GTR..... SUPER SILVER and four seats!!

sonic370 11-02-2010 07:47 PM

High-Step said it all and nailed it.... I look forward to everyday pushing in that little red start button.... every time i look at the 370 i notice something i love more about it.... no car is perfect.... the measure of this car to me is how many strangers come up to me and remark about the car..

plus this forum is a blast most of the members show a lot of class...

370zsport09 11-02-2010 08:01 PM

Yes if it happened but more than likely the NISMO instead of Sport/Touring Package ..... if it happened in a few years....more than likely....M3 Beamer or used low mileage 2005ish 911 TURBO :) ..... also had my eye on the LEXUS IS-F :) .................. but for now most definitely the Z for now....

cab83_750 11-02-2010 08:07 PM

For those of you looking at the Bimmers Or MBs, search on Yahoo about both companies' recent product ratings. Down boy! Down......

Ct Chip 11-02-2010 08:13 PM

Absolutely YES. I still believe that it is the best in class for the $$$'s. Best bang for the buck hands down.

optiontrader 11-02-2010 08:17 PM

If it were for the same amount for an exact replacement, yes; definitely.

Prices on used M3's and Cayman S's (no older than 2008's) are still too much to spend on four wheels right now...

Soygen 11-02-2010 08:39 PM

Yup, I would.

m4a1mustang 11-02-2010 08:43 PM

So, I've been patiently waiting... where's the cake?

fins 11-02-2010 08:43 PM

yep, yep

I brought Cake to the Forum :)

PapoZalsa 11-02-2010 09:14 PM

I might go with the G37S to stay in the family. ;)

HOOPZ 11-02-2010 09:21 PM

N0, not because of the car, I love it. I base that answer solely on Nissan Corporates customer service.

frost 11-02-2010 09:35 PM

My mind said "yes," but my heart voted "cake."

The 370 is rated VERY poorly as well in the reliability department. You can find an up or a down rating for any vehicle if you look hard enough/at enough sources. I think every vehicle has/can have issues.

You really should, on your next day off, head over to Shamaley and giver er' a go. If anything, just to see what all of us converts have been gushing about.

zmyride 11-02-2010 10:52 PM

If the check is over $30K, i would buy a used Cayman S.

If under, i would buy a Z again.

Jquad 11-02-2010 11:39 PM

Def:tup:

Jordo! 11-03-2010 12:39 AM

Fvck yeah.

Unless they offer some kind of super wazoo turboed FT-86 (either by Toyota/Scion or Subaru) in a year or two, there's really no other car I'm interested in.

Actually, I already bought my Z again. Just had a deal that was too good to pass up(fully loaded, ultra low miles, same color + offer to move my mods to the new car as part of the deal). Would I buy the next gen Z? Depends on what life throws at me, but if I'm able to buy another I would in a heartbeat.
