I haven't had oil consupmption, but just the fact that there's a tsb for it, worries me. I want a car I don't have to worry about. My rotors are making noise now too and the car only has 12k miles on it and I barely drive it. I got my front rotors warrantied at 10k miles!!! Never had to do so much warranty work on a new car. it's obnoxious. I want a car I don't have to worry about... I just wish toyota made a sports car, or Honda made something with torque. If you want a car you don't have to worry about, you shouldn't have bought a sports car.

2. seriously? My car's been warrantied like 6 times for stupid crap, and oil consumption is unacceptable. BMW had an issue with their 335i fuel pump, and are actually BUYING people's cars back. Nissan would rather die than even offer. Now my REAR rotors are ******* up, when I drive the car like a grandma like 15 miles a week, and nissan won't cover them because i'm 500 miles over the warranty on brakes... because apparently brakes have a seperate warranty that isn't anywhere in the manual. Plus, I don't know if anyone saw that thread about the front bumper dent that like 90% of the cars have... I have that as a cherry on the sundae. I guess the main reason im pissed off is because I had an 06 350z.. and figured after all those oil and bs problems that nissan would get their crap together for the new model... nope |

but hey don't get me wrong guys...
I admit i'm a little more finicky and OCD than a LOT of people.. so my gripes may not be other peoples. I just haven't encountered even a hint of this type of lack of quality control with the hondas and toyotas i've owned... ironically they were driven into the ground, too. I baby this thing.... |

I voted no for a couple reasons. I love everything about the Z except the engine. I'm getting really frustrated with how hard it is to squeeze power out of it. It's weird seeing people get excited about $700 mods that barely make any power. Just seems like I might be better off with a different platform next time around. That being said, I can't think of a single car anywhere close to the price range that I'd replace it with. There are so many things I love about it that I just can't find in anything else.
The other reason I said no is like others mentioned: I just would want to change it up. |

Some have scoffed at the Z's gains per dollar, comparing them to the Stang's. Can't do that. That Stang is a different animal at five liters and and an 8 cylinder. It seems the NA import engines are all highly tuned already and not much can be had by way of NA mods (M3, GT3, Cayman is the same). That puts the Z in pretty good company. The gains per dollar make me appreciate the car even more!! Like you, I would not consider actually buying any other car in this price range; I would need to move up a couple price ranges. |

Like some others, if the Cayman S PDK was a little older so used models were more affordable, I would probably consider it.
And if you think Z power is expensive, try NSX power
