all cars have issues and imho most but not all are 100% owner related....

but a stang or camaro noway... im to use to no back seat,no one ask for rides..... it will either be another z or (cover your eyes) a corvette low mileage c6..

Seems the bad seats don't dissuade them. I myself am going to join the Z06 camp in a few months I think.

The bad seats in the Corvette aren't a problem unless you are driving on track, but 99% of Corvette owners never take there car to a track so it isn't a huge concern for most.

The Z06 is a nice vehicle, I've driven a few on track. Even though I was intoxicated by the awesome power of the C6 Z06 I still liked the handling of the Z better. I even had a Z06 owner drive my car and he was quite surprised at how capable it was.

All sweeping generalizations are universally true in all situations.

Seriously, did you even read this when you typed it?

Haven't you ever met a person who has a great car but doesn't appreciate it, or maybe someone else with a real beater who loves it like a dream car? I'm sure there are Z06 owners who want a better car (faster, more prestigious, whatever), even though it's already a fantastic car. And I know there are 370z owners who treat it as their dream car.

Come on, man.

Transmission war continues.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the 6m.

Quickest Na z is 6m mine is 12.9 in a 6 m. The tranny Is perfectly fine! Not notchy or loud, I drive a 2008 gt mustang. That tranny is bad ours is a thousand times smoother.

I like the GT-R's, and would do the same if not for the transmission. I was thinking about doing just this until I read about the long-term test car that one of the mags had. Their only complaint was that the transmission had become slightly balky...but not bad, really not bad.

Something like that. Either way, for the cost of that transmission, ANY! problem is scary. Besides, you can bet you will have no warranty as pretty much everyone is bound to turn VDC off sooner or later.

seriously. With the trans issues, I'm surprised people still want to buy GTRs at all.

While I agree with your point about any issue on the trans is scary, for it will cost you an arm and a leg; however, I do not agree with you suggesting GTR's trans is fragile. I personally know few guys who beat the living crap out of their GTR and they've been very reliable cars.

At the same time, maintenance on GTRs in 4 times the cost of 370s.
This is what turns me off. The maintenance costs and any person waiting for the GTR prices to drop so they can afford one will have a very unpleasant surprise waiting for them. Trans + both diff fluid flush will run you $2000. Brakes $4000 +
Tires $1600 + and these cars eat tires because of their weight.
Oil changes are $135 cheapest.
on and on

So once again, anyone waiting for GTR prices to drop, don't overlook the maintenance costs.

And if something breaks engine component/trans, repairs will be in $10,000s

People just need to learn how to do stuff on their own. All those things are very easy to service with some jack stands and a basic set of tools.
