My buddy had an Infiniti M45 rear bumper torn backing into a curb. Some how they remelted (?) it and fixed it for $75. You have so much less damage I bet it is repairable.

That's not that bad at all, certainly not "wrecked"

NewYorkJon34 11-01-2010 12:33 AM

The evo-r bumper will not cover it up, your damage is above the curve in the bumper's side: http://i727.photobucket.com/albums/w...4/945b1ecb.jpg

And judging from that donut, you did not get the sports package :( have it repainted or buy shine auto/nismo lip to cover it up. That's your only options, but I don't think you need to buy a whole new bumper.

370zproject 11-01-2010 12:49 AM

the cover should be fine

ddvette9 11-01-2010 05:36 AM

i have people saying the evo-r should be fine and others saying it wont. do you guys agree the evo-r is gonna cover 95% of the damage or is it a wast of time.

Also, im going to taka a meguiars dual action polisher to the parts "scuffed" and not down to the paint. any experience with this

flashburn 11-01-2010 07:18 AM

It looks like it should cover at least the majority of it, but it might be close on the upper portion.

ClemsonWill 11-01-2010 07:32 AM

I don't think you need a new bumper. It just looks scraped. A good body shop should be able to sand it down, fill if needed and repaint. Painting is what will cost you. Trying to cover it up with a lip that sticks out further will just make you more prone to hitting a curb again.

NewYorkJon34 11-01-2010 08:07 AM

I have the evo-r lip, trust me bro it is not going to cover that $hit

SophiaZ 11-01-2010 08:37 AM

Just get it painted. It seems like the lip won't cover the damage from what people are saying. Even if you found one that did cover it up...in the future you're still gonna know the scrapes are there and you know you'll end up getting in painted anyway.

ddvette9 11-01-2010 09:04 AM

got an estimate for under 200 to get it repainted. does anyone have any paint experience. this guy is going to tell me what needs to be done and i dont want to get taken for a bad job. Any ex painters or body shop owners, i mean the damage isnt too bad.
