Rain Soaked Z
For some reason the windows on my Z lowered yesterday while a massive rainstorm was passing through. I assume the button on my intalligent key got pushed while it was in my pocket thus lowering the windows. I have looked to se if there is a way to deactivate this feature, but I cant find anything. Has this happened to one of you guys? is there a way to deactivate this? Just want to raise a flag to look out for this:shakes head:

I hope you didnt have any damage.

Dry it out professionally if you must. I didn't when this happened to my 280 Z. The mildew smell stayed with me in damp weather for a long time.

You really need to have this cleaned out professionally. Mold can grow very quickly. |
Better Shamp0o it:tup:

One word - garage.

I removed the seats and let them dry on a 90 degree sunny heat, and lifted the carpet and dried it with a hair dryer. Everything is dry now, definitely not leaving my key in pocket at work again!!:shakes head:

i think u can avoid that by wearing loose fit jeans

This happened to me and I finally figured out what happened. You know that when you turn the car off, the power to the windows stays active, so you can still roll them up ............... allows you to gather your stuff, do whatever you need to do, then roll them up and go. One caveat ............... once you start the "auto up" feature, if you open the door, the windows stop right where they are, and don't finish the cycle if they were not already all the way up. I realized this one day after my incident, when I was in a hurry, opened the door and boom, windows stopped immediately. I think I was in a hurry the day it happened, opened the door and jumped out, and didn't realize there was about an inch left to go........ of course that was the day of the sideways driving blowing rain from hell, insides were soaked :shakes head:

Perhaps some type of case could protect the buttons by recessing them if your pockets are that tight?
