There are no blind spots if you adjust the mirrors properly. It can be a little disconcerting on the test drive, simply because most people are not used to using the mirrors alone.
As others have said, turn the mirrors both outward as far as they go. You shouldn't see YOUR car in the side mirrors at all, or you won't see THEIR car, which is what's important. You don't need extra mirrors to see all around. If you are trying to look over your shoulder, you're not doing it right. You're not going to see smaller cars and motorcycles 100% of the time, you have to use your mirrors. The windows back there are too small to be useful. You'll easily lose them on the right side, and on the left side...well, I don't know how the hell you think you're seeing back that way without sticking your head out the window. |

Get one of these and you won't complain about the blind spot anymore. I have one on two of my cars even the other car has no blind spot issue. With this mirror you won't even need to turn your head around to check for the blind spot but I always do out of habits anyway.
http://www.stacksandstacks.com/image.../119902_zm.jpg It actually looks cooler than the stock mirror. |

The worst blind spot i have is when I merge onto a road from the left (with a downward sloping hill) and I have to cross over on to a flat road to the appropriate lane. I end up squinting through the small rear window..

in my opinion (and in CA traffic), having to lean my body to the right just to see more than a third of the right mirror can be a pain in the ***. it's cool that you're cool with the extra effort required to check blind spots in the car. and yes, if we wanted a full 360 degree panoramic view of the road, we should roll in mini-vans. i'm 100% willing to deal with the limited visibility. with that said, it's fair to point out to the OP that checking blind spots in the z takes more effort than it does in other cars. |

The worst is when backing out from a parking space like when you are in between two other cars. forget it then you can't see anything...
the rest of the time adjust both side mirror's all the way out and use caution.. i find myself using the rear view mirror the most so i can check whats coming up on either side of me. |

Something that's helpful that I do is moving the passenger chair forward so the top doesn't obstruct the view out of the small right side window when changing lanes. Besides that I have no problems what so ever. The mirrors for changing lanes on the Z are awesome, some of the best I've ever used Last edited by Youngwolf34; 08-30-2014 at 01:20 PM. |

I don't use my side view mirrors to find out if someone is in the lane next to me. I use them to continuously scan around my vehicle at all times. If and when I decide to make a lane maneuver, I already know exactly where the cars are in the next lane and that there is a spot for me to move into. I take one last check in my side view mirrors to make sure someone didn't change lanes into the spot I'm looking to take. Properly set up, you should have virtually no blind spots in your mirrors.
