For the driver side mirror, roll up the window and press your head against the glass. Adjust the mirror so that you can just see the edge of the car. For the passenger side mirror, place your head in the center of the car (directly behind the inside mirror mount) and adjust the outside mirror so that you can just see the edge of the car. This is necessary even with convex (curved) mirrors where the image is distorted a little. - See more at: How To Adjust Your Side-View Mirrors
I would not recommend this mirror if it did not work and would have gotten rid of it. And don't say I like to waste money. You have no clue what you are talking about.

Like many opinions on our mirrors?

I recently bought aftermarket CS JDM types, And the increased viewing angle from the convex passenger side makes all the difference to me in my opinion.

My driver side is wide angle and makes for great visibility changing lanes almost to the point you could lane change without the need to look over either your left or right shoulder.

I also like member Axmea?'s mirror option as another option albeit a less expensive way to increase the viewing angle.

I know some may argue all you need is the correct viewing angle, But you're only making the best with the mirrors current viewing angles, and maybe not be to receptive that there are better options out there.

But to each own nothing wrong with that.

I use my OEM mirrors pretty well but it has its limits. The car has a blind spot. This one eliminates it. Viewing angle is wide and it's blue.

Just wanted to share an update.
I bought a set of these, installed a few weeks ago.
Couldn't be happier.
I now have ZERO blind spot on the highway. If I turn my head to the right, I either see the car out my window, or in the mirror. It's never the case that a car is there and I can't see them.

I wasn't 100% happy with how they install. It's essentially just thick foam-like double sided tape in the middle holding them up. Because the back is concave, tape won't connect anywhere else other than the center, so it's just the middle holding it. That said, so far so good. They don't seem to be going anywhere. Modern highperformance tape can hold 20+ lbs per sq in, so hopefully they used the good stuff.

Cliffs: These are the very good, buy them if want to see everything around you.

the worse thing is backing out of a parking spot with an SUV or big truck parked on your right side.. Our fat *** is sticking out in the flow of traffic before when can even begin to see whats coming.

i pulled in once... and now i always reverse park now unless it's coming home.

my damn driveway is a PITA to back up into and i dislike parking rear-first in the garage cause of carbon monoxide and such.

What scares the crap out of me is when on the expressway, I notice I can see the guy's face in his wing mirror when he's in the right lane. I know damn well his mirrors aren't adjusted properly and no way can he see me coming up beside him. And don't me started on damn SUVs that sit so high their mirrors can't see low enough to see me. I feel safer around semi's....at least they have all kinds of mirrors for backing into loading docks.

There's a previous post in this thread (link at bottom of this post) that links to a good guide on how to properly adjust your side-view mirrors. Once I went ahead and did that to my passenger side, I've not had any issues with my blind spot there. I can see cars in the mirror no problem as they approach, and once they go out of view in the mirror, they are visible outside the window and out of my blind spot. I'd suggest others give it a shot before they start ordering up different mirrors.

I just picked up a 2013 Solid Red Touring in MN. I adjusted the seat and side mirrors more times than I can mention. In the end, I decided to get those blind spot mirrors inserts and I highly don't recommend them. At night, they are completely useless. I have not tried adjusting the mirrors all the way out because I have a habit of wanting to see some of my car in the mirror, but that sounds like the best way to go here

I used to drive with seeing the edge of the car as well but I decided to try from the links above to adjust my mirrors. At first it took a while to get used to, I would always move my body to make sure there was no car next to me lol but now that i'm more used to it, it works so much better I do it to every car I drive without noticing it lol...it really makes a difference on your blind spot

I adjusted my mirrors all the way out.
It helps, but nothing like being able to really see everything.

There's no fixing the blind spot that the mirror + a-pillar create.

I've missed many a turn signal from other vehicles due to that. A few were upset/honked at me in disgust.

Not my fault.
