Here's an option. Zoom Engineering.
I use my OEM mirrors pretty well but it has its limits. The car has a blind spot. This one eliminates it. Viewing angle is wide and it's blue.

How's the quality on those? I like the idea. And they just stick on over the stock mirror? +1 on the back-up camera. I can't believe they sell this car without one.

Can't believe I did not specify. Yes, Zoom Engineering.

These are high quality, blue-convex mirrors from Japan that stick on your oem mirror using mfr provided vhb tape (I added more). The carton you see on the edge of the passenger side is at 4 o'clock a little over 3 feet away - directly across the hub of the rear wheel. It is a great option.

I can mitigate the issue by pointing my mirrors out as far as they'll go, but I like the idea of having more viewable. Seems like it would make it easier to drive. Thanks mate. |

I simply stop at a less aggressive lift and right angle. at turning areas. Explanation: When i get to an area where I have to make a stop to check if it's clear to merge; I don't point the car left or right (if I'm turning left" or right) too much. Basically I'm more perpendicular to the traffic I'm merging too. This gives me a clear view out my windows by not having my passenger's headrest "dead blind spot/rear window."
Merging into the right lane isn't that bad. I simple use body position to change my vision in my passenger side mirror. I don't drive up close to my steering wheel like an old granny. By bending forward towards my steering wheel prior to merging, I change my angle of vision in my side mirror and eliminate the blind spot. |

Just installed my Zoom Engineering side view mirrors. Very easy to understand instructions, had to add double sided to tape to each spot that had double sided tape already since my side view mirrors are flat and not convex. Extra double sided tape was included, just had to cut out the size needed and stick on. Lined up the tape and stuck it on both mirrors, took about 10 minutes. Side mirrors are all the way out now, haven't driven with them yet but it looks good, had issues with the blind spot, have a backup camera so I wanted an affordable option that would make driving a little easier.

I almost always look over the shoulder just to be safe. I hit a car once because I didn't, so ive been doing it very often ever since. Thankfully it was a light scrape!

Just stuborn I guess....
There is no need to get anything other than OEM mirrors......but it seems like some people just want to waste money. Look at the pictures of the posts above with their new pricy mirrors.......I guess the guy just wants to see the side of his car and not cover ALL of the blind spot......
For the driver side mirror, roll up the window and press your head against the glass. Adjust the mirror so that you can just see the edge of the car. For the passenger side mirror, place your head in the center of the car (directly behind the inside mirror mount) and adjust the outside mirror so that you can just see the edge of the car. This is necessary even with convex (curved) mirrors where the image is distorted a little. - See more at: How To Adjust Your Side-View Mirrors |

It does make a difference, you can see quite a lot more than the OEM mirror and there is much less glare. This is exactly what I was looking for, feel better about making lane changes when I drive in the dark cause the blind spot in the Z is the worst I've had in any car I've owned.
