you mean curb feelers? :ugh:

When I was learning to drive, quite a few (almost always) older people in my hometown had these on their car. My friends and I always got quite the giggle when we'd spot a car with curb feelers on both sides.

If you push the side views out, so right when a car/object leaves your rear view it gets picked up by the sides, you'll find there's no blind spot (I still look over my shoulder quickly - it's habit).

Takes a bit of getting used to, but works well.

That's how they are supposed to be used in the first place. So many people were taught the wrong way. I was also taught to use the side view mirrors to look back but that's what the center rear view mirror is for :tiphat:

Hideous! The whole damn thing. It could be salvaged with some fishing line or dental floss though...

I'd love to know if the side mount exhaust is real, or if those are stick on parts as well.

Edit: Found more pics, definitely fake, ******* tool.

yah, when i ran the stock mirrors i had no trouble with blind spots either.
but the left mirror housing was blocking the view while i was making
left-hand turns so that was my reason for getting the cs.

the convex lens that they come with was just an added bonus.
no need to shoulder check any more.

My passenger side mirror is "out" all the way, and the driver's side is out pretty far, to minimize the blind spots.

It's not a sedan with tons of glass or anything but you can manage it.

Proper way to set mirrors..

There is only one way to properly set mirrors in any car........

For the driver side mirror, roll up the window and press your head against the glass. Adjust the mirror so that you can just see the edge of the car. For the passenger side mirror, place your head in the center of the car (directly behind the inside mirror mount) and adjust the outside mirror so that you can just see the edge of the car. This is necessary even with convex (curved) mirrors where the image is distorted a little. When you’re in your normal driving position, you won’t be able to see the sides of the car but will be able to see other vehicles in the adjacent lanes. - See more at: How To Adjust Your Side-View Mirrors

I just pull up next to a car on a side street. I put the car in the "blind spot" and then adjust the mirror. It's not that hard.

Blind Spot mirrors -- Any recos?

I'm going to go hunt for a set of blind spot mirrors.
Wondering if anyone has found any they like and look okay.

For those who don't know the term, something like this:
