Default Dumb 370 Nismo demise rumors

I know most of us don't frequent the 370 section on my350z much anymore...

But I stumbled upon this, and yes I know it's from an uncreditable source (my ______ works for .....etc.. ) and poster.

Anywho good for a laugh I guess.

[The NISMO edition is only for the 2007 2008, not the 370z, sorry you should have bought a 350z.
My brother works for nissan corp, did you guys relize nissan sold most of its shares? they are droping the nismo lineup for the 370z.

"TOKYO (March 13, 2009) - Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., today announced changes and promotions within its senior global management team. All changes are effective April 1, 2009.
"Nissan continues to improve the depth, breadth and quality of its global management team," said Nissan President and CEO Carlos Ghosn. "By making these appointments in the midst of a financial and economic crisis affecting countries and companies throughout the world, we are taking steps to ensure that Nissan is well positioned to successfully face the immediate challenges and to take full advantage of the recovery when the economic storm is over."

IMO just buy a 370 base and tune it yourself.....
I think nissan is owned by renault tottaly now.]

Don't you just love how they take something totally out of context?

Not forgetting Carlos Ghosn (pronounced 'Charles DeGaulle').

Yes, Carlos was predicting a profit right up to the point that they released the huge loss.

The 370Z section of my350Z.com is full of people that are lost in their own little world. Even with glaringly obvious evidence and hard numbers, half of them still try and justify that the HR Z is just as fast as the 370Z.

Can't tell you how many times I have read "My brother works for Nissan......." on My350Z.
I wouldn't hold much water with this rumor Greg

I believe the 370z nismo r & d is complete and it's just a normal 370z with most likely, nismo suspension, body kit, extra welds, and front and rear dampener. I don't think nissan spent a lot of money in developing the nismo so there should be no worries of it being cancelled because the market is down. I think nissan only expects to sell a couple thousand nismo a year. It should be unveiled soon. Hopefully the bumper looks like the version 1.

Tell me about it, I can't read any of their crap anymore. They started a thread "you gonna buy a 370?" It is hilarious. They are trashing the 370 right and left, everything from how "ugly" our car is to how "slow" we are. Bunch of whining kids who can't afford a 370 and the only way they can feel good is to dis the 370......... a few good rationalizations, no matter how untrue, can make you feel good about your position

I'm looking forward to this. A Nismo 370Z just might be my next car.

I'm anticipating that I won't be a real fan of the looks at first and it'll probably have to grow on me.

I think you and I will see more "ex-my350" guys over here that have an open mind and hate the constant "fail" postings

Hmm maybe I should post my track slip from last friday night! Me and my stock 370Z vs a Black 350Z with intake and exhaust:

Me - 13.53 1/4 ET
Him - 15.06 1/4 ET

Hmm... something says they should focus more on learning to drive their cars as apposed to bashing ours!

Went up against a 07 Nismo 350Z at the auto-x this weekend, it wasn't even close, 2nd vs 11th. But then again I don't know his experience level. Also stomped a couple of Porsche's, some Suibbie's and several Corvette's.
