Yeah that wreck wasn't really too bad (for the driver).
I wonder if he should have waited to slow down abit more before deploying the chute. I wonder if it was even necessary.

Sure seems like he lost it right as the chute deployed.

Haha, I wouldn't want to be in the car either, but that sure beats the hell out of a solid hit into a barrier.

Very true. All that would be left is a pile of carbon dust.

Videos like this/of the driver walking away inspire thoughts that speed-limits should be raised. They were all set when cars were a LOT less safe. Imagine doing this in a 60's 'vette or a Pantera. DRT.
I think highway/interstate speed-limits should be raised to 80-85. |

Not sure about the fault driver/conditions/chute…….but the chute being deployed seems like it would lighten the front end a bit and mess with steering control/inputs? Just a thought.
A guy at Pacific Raceways was running a twin turbo lambo that put 900HP down to the wheels. He said the car scared the crap out of him. He had to seriously modify the suspension to maximize it's cornering capability. But the driver is amazing and has not came close to crashing. To hear this car go down the straight is to experience something …..well you have to be there.
