Slight Roughness Each Morning

Each morning when I first drive the car out of the driveway and up the hill (I let it warm up for a moment or two first), there is a rough feeling as the car shifts. It is less noticeable if I accelarate a bit harder, which I would rather not do until the car has fully warmed up. It feels like the shifting is hesitant----I don't think it's in the engine. Other posts have also mentioned this. I've now passed 5,000 mi. on my '09 automatic and, although the problem hasn't worsened, it hasn't gone away either. Is this a permanent characteristic of the 7 speed automatic transmission? Has anyone had a dealership check it out on his car? By the time I arrive at my dealership, the car is fully warmed up and the problem is gone.

could be the weather and your tranny oil is not warm yet.

i remember the junk AT subaru put in my old 06 legacy. in cold mornings it whould shift like a newb learning MT. and this was considered 'normal' for them. lol

Put some better tranny fluid in there.

It's getting colder, so it's probably just the transmission fluid needing to warm up a bit.

so he should get better tranny fluid.

i think we're going in circles now. :icon17:
