where do ya'll keep your change?

i got my z last week and ive noticed theres no place to keep change in this car! any center armrest solutions anyones run into?

Push370zzz 10-24-2010 11:12 PM

the cubby holder for me, its slanted back enough to where it tends to stay there

Lemers 10-24-2010 11:13 PM

In my pocket.

specZ 10-24-2010 11:40 PM

center console near divider

optiontrader 10-24-2010 11:45 PM

Center console - no tray ('10 model), so it just slides around, especially in hard corners. :excited:

They could have put a few slots in the flat area on the forward part of the center console, I figure. Another "really?" design quibble.

Coming to think of it, do any Nissans have dedicated coin slots/trenches like they do in most American cars?

Jack370Z 10-24-2010 11:57 PM

Isn't that what your passenger is for...to hold stuff? They also make a great 5th cup holder.

i know right! i occasionally have to go to downtown and pay those damn meters and yesterday i realized there's no place anywhere to put some coins! i hate carrying change. since i have a nismo (no heated seats) it would have been nice if they put those 3 empty "buttons" to use and given us a coin holder of some sort.

cab83_750 10-25-2010 12:38 AM

Temporarily move to Beverly Hills. I heard you can use credit card now. :)

I hate change much like stamps.

Waiz 10-25-2010 01:41 AM

I bought a small business card holder that I use to hold my change.

yes, my 2010 maxima has 3 coin slots. one for quarters, dimes, and nickels.

spearfish25 10-25-2010 06:25 AM

I don't keep any change. First, anything less than a dollar isn't worth it to me. Second, I use I-Pass for tolls. Third, our parking meters take credit cards. If Nissan wanted us to deal in sub-dollar amounts, they'd have given us a good place for change.

:end sarcasm:

AK370Z 10-25-2010 06:36 AM

NO Change!!! I hate rattles and noise! When I make a sharp left or right turn, I shouldn't hear anything other that the tires!!! It's one of my pet peeves. My friends always see me constantly move/fix my radar detector as it makes a slight rattling noise! Also, keeping change in the beverage holder area will scratch up the surface.

Say NO TO THE CHANGE! (lol please don't take this politically! :icon17:)

Doesn't stay in my pocket while sitting in my car. The coins fall out while driving due to my posture. I need to put a styrofoam cup in the cup holder on the door and throw my change in there.

Hi-Step'n370Z 10-25-2010 06:57 AM

I keep mine in AK's car.

Kirkster 10-25-2010 07:28 AM

On the floor under the seat, where it all ends up after falling out of my pockets.

The shop vac does a good job of cleaning up all the loose change...

kenchan 10-25-2010 08:35 AM

Wat are coins?

ClemsonWill 10-25-2010 08:45 AM

I never have cash or change so it doesn't affect me. If I did for some reason get some change then I would give it to my wife. She carries a pound of change around with her. Don't ask me why.

import111 10-25-2010 09:14 AM

My pocket or the cup holder in the center is where my change goes.

LuckyJinx 10-25-2010 09:27 AM

In a 370z, there is no such thing as change.

BeachZTT 10-25-2010 09:35 AM

I don't do change but a friend at work uses one of these in his center console (not a Z). Easy access and NO RATTLES!

Amazon.com: Spiral Squeeze Change Purse: Everything Else

uhhhh.... :wtf2:

tjlazer 10-25-2010 11:04 AM

I got one of those foam cell phone/coin holders thats shaped like a cup.
The one I have sits pretty flush with the cup holder console and is soft gray and fits great. Holds change nicely but does not hold my iPhone. There seems to be a newer model that has a wider slit in it for iPhones, so I'll have to try one of these sometime!

Do you drive fully reclined, maybe a little head down?

i dispose of denomination lower than $20 bills.

370Zsteve 10-25-2010 11:46 AM

I have a debit card. I don't see change. Do they still make those stupid things they used to call "pennies"?

370steve- i too dont remember the last time i used coins... even fastfood these days i just hand them my creditcard. too lazy to go to the bank.

chops 10-25-2010 12:49 PM

trust me...i hate using cash and i never carry change either. i use my credit card for everything (for the rewards heh) but i just wish there was sooome place to carry a few quarters!

kenchan 10-25-2010 01:01 PM

chops- put a strip of double stick tape under the steering column and just mount them there. :D

elmz 10-25-2010 01:02 PM

I keep mine inside a cloth sun glasses bag in the middle cubby. I hate the sound of loose change in the car...

OldGuy 10-25-2010 02:02 PM

Can't have loose change rattling around. I bought a small zippered change pouch at Target ($3.00) for meter money and I keep it in the front center cubby hole (no nav), together with my cell phone and garage door opener. It's perfect. Sunglasses rest inside the armrest compartment in a Ray-Ban case (no noise from them, either). Everything's organized and just perfect----except for the winter weather that will arive too soon to end my fun until April.

waaaasabi 10-25-2010 02:10 PM

I put it in mouth, gives me something to suck on while I drive.

Yeah, I like to hold my passenger's cups too, especially when she's wearing a low-cut top.... Oh, wait, you meant... Nevermind.

jaedub 10-25-2010 06:22 PM
