where do ya'll keep your change?
i got my z last week and ive noticed theres no place to keep change in this car! any center armrest solutions anyones run into?
|
the cubby holder for me, its slanted back enough to where it tends to stay there
|
In my pocket.
|
center console near divider
|
Center console - no tray ('10 model), so it just slides around, especially in hard corners. :excited:
They could have put a few slots in the flat area on the forward part of the center console, I figure. Another "really?" design quibble. Coming to think of it, do any Nissans have dedicated coin slots/trenches like they do in most American cars? |
Isn't that what your passenger is for...to hold stuff? They also make a great 5th cup holder.

Temporarily move to Beverly Hills. I heard you can use credit card now. :)
I hate change much like stamps. Quote:

I bought a small business card holder that I use to hold my change.

I don't keep any change. First, anything less than a dollar isn't worth it to me. Second, I use I-Pass for tolls. Third, our parking meters take credit cards. If Nissan wanted us to deal in sub-dollar amounts, they'd have given us a good place for change.
:end sarcasm: |
NO Change!!! I hate rattles and noise! When I make a sharp left or right turn, I shouldn't hear anything other that the tires!!! It's one of my pet peeves. My friends always see me constantly move/fix my radar detector as it makes a slight rattling noise! Also, keeping change in the beverage holder area will scratch up the surface.
Say NO TO THE CHANGE! (lol please don't take this politically! :icon17:) |

I keep mine in AK's car.
|
On the floor under the seat, where it all ends up after falling out of my pockets.
The shop vac does a good job of cleaning up all the loose change... |
Wat are coins?
|
I never have cash or change so it doesn't affect me. If I did for some reason get some change then I would give it to my wife. She carries a pound of change around with her. Don't ask me why.
|
My pocket or the cup holder in the center is where my change goes.
|
In a 370z, there is no such thing as change.
|
I don't do change but a friend at work uses one of these in his center console (not a Z). Easy access and NO RATTLES!

I got one of those foam cell phone/coin holders thats shaped like a cup.
The one I have sits pretty flush with the cup holder console and is soft gray and fits great. Holds change nicely but does not hold my iPhone. There seems to be a newer model that has a wider slit in it for iPhones, so I'll have to try one of these sometime! http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA300_.jpg |

I have a debit card. I don't see change. Do they still make those stupid things they used to call "pennies"?

370steve- i too dont remember the last time i used coins... even fastfood these days i just hand them my creditcard. too lazy to go to the bank. |
trust me...i hate using cash and i never carry change either. i use my credit card for everything (for the rewards heh) but i just wish there was sooome place to carry a few quarters!
|
chops- put a strip of double stick tape under the steering column and just mount them there. :D
|
I keep mine inside a cloth sun glasses bag in the middle cubby. I hate the sound of loose change in the car...
|
Can't have loose change rattling around. I bought a small zippered change pouch at Target ($3.00) for meter money and I keep it in the front center cubby hole (no nav), together with my cell phone and garage door opener. It's perfect. Sunglasses rest inside the armrest compartment in a Ray-Ban case (no noise from them, either). Everything's organized and just perfect----except for the winter weather that will arive too soon to end my fun until April.
|
I put it in mouth, gives me something to suck on while I drive.
