Ouch, my condolences to you and or significant other.... and note, no threats of anything. It is called mutual respect and love BUT I will save that for another website. Back on track:
Someone stated better shifts at 5K and above. Just got it out on the 5 in CA and shifts are MUCH smoother. I was having challenges from 1-2 but no longer; I was shifting too soon........ Going to turn off VDC today and see if I can break it loose and have fun. Have had the car 3 months now and its time. |

Shifting RPM's

Gears 1-2 seem to like 4K, 2-3 and on do well with around 3K unless you really want to move quickly in which case, 7K does VERY well.... Posting in case anyone cares... Anyone else have any thoughts regarding shift RPMs? |

I have really started to enjoy my car more again.
Switched a few things out and the car has a much better sound, performance is fantastic and daily driving is wonderful.

Like cames4, I've had the Z for just over 3 months now, and am starting to push it handling-wise. I've been hesitant to take the VDC off especially with the colder temps we've been experiencing and summer tires. I will at some point under the right conditions, as I do find it to be moderately intrusive. Still, I am gaining more of an appreciation of what this car can do. I have mentioned before that I am not used to the combination of power and handling, and am back in a RWD car after a 5 year hiatus since the RX-8 was traded in.
Oh, and Mustang Steve, that exhaust sounds awesome on your GT!
