However, it's a luxury car first and a performance vehicle second.

and why would a 370Z never do this again? I will asume your speaking 100% stock comparisons

Why would you dream of comparing a modded Z to a modded factory FI V?> Want the p'wnage to get worse?

its all about money, the only thing getting owned here would be some one's wallet...any car can be made as fast as thier pockets go...

it was meant to be about how much car the z is for the money...
and with GM an extra 15 grand doesn't get you as much as you think..

i guess when i was driving it i was expecting a better experince...
when i kicked the cts in the butt i didn't go oh xxit....

but to each there on...

I don't know where you get your pricing info, but the Base CTS-V starts at $62k and after you're done with options it wil easily be in the high $60's

That being said, yes, the 370Z is an enormous bang for the buck.

Remember that movie where those seniors encounter that thing from outerspace?

The same thing happened to Caddilac.

I think GM had to do something since Caddy's demographic was something north of 80 yrs old about 10 years ago :bowrofl:

Went and looked at one today. The loaded-out CTS-V will run you around 72K MSRP. Could be had for $1K over invoice at my local dealer. I don't know what invoice is. Probably mid 60's. They look a bit better in person.

ultimately its all about money. you could by a Z and if you put 25k into it, it would be faster than a CTS-V (TT, New transmission etc). once you have a good AWD/RWD platform to work with, and you're not trying to build some rice rocket FWD street racing car, its all about how much money you put into the car.

First the price tag is very large between the two and I'm not too sure if its a fair comparison. We were just talking about this the other day in the office though instead of the Z we were comparing CTS V sedan to the GTR.

Now don't get me wrong I love Nissans but there is something Cadillac did right with this new model. It's not the dedicated track car for occasional street use but rather the opposite with a sporty feel that does not scream 'race me' but is supported by a substantial amount of speed figures.

As a car enthusiast I appreciate all vehicles (especially Nissans)for what they are, and I do believe that this car deserves to be recognized!

it'd put more of a smile on my face seeing grandpa joe driving one of these around town then an eldorado.
